I came for Prism glasses. The Dr. said fixing one of two planes would be fine. I paid hundreds for the glasses and lenses. I tried to schedule a follow up but they said they’d call me. Instead they called to demand more money after insurance. Turns out the standard practice is to correct both the horizontal and vertical fields. The specialist I spoke with said it was likely a scam to charge for extra lenses and both should have been corrected at the same time. Now the Doctor is holding my prescription hostage extorting a new patient visit rather than sending the fields already diagnosed in the evaluation. (They offered to send “half the prescription or pay for a visit”) They stopped accepting my insurance. Obviously he cares more for cash than critical patient care, even after a ridiculous profit. Similar glasses on the market cost 1/4 of what they charged. Now I have a useless pair of very expensive glasses. He took advantage then refused to make it right. I am shocked they refused to even give me my prescription, but that’s proof in itself of the fraudulent scam.

I would like the full prescription diagnosed in the evaluation

    Business Response

    Date: 08/15/2024

She called us on 1/04/2024 after receiving her bill saying she that we could not charge her and that she was not going to come back. I then spoke to her yesterday she said the doctor told her that she could do a different prescription if she would like. But there is no record of that in her chart and I told her it had been almost a year so at this point we would have to do a new exam but we no longer take her insurance. She said she spoke to someone else saying that they told her that it was standard practice to prescribe plains of prism and that is not the case. We did send the patient a copy of her prescription and her exam records on 08/14/2024 from the original service. We follow the stand practice that was invented by *** ****** ********* If she was having a problem with her glasses in the first 6 months we would have been happy to see her. We are not trying to be difficult but we have given her  prescription and her records so we feel we have done everything on our end to comply with her request.
