      I went to see ********************************** on July 26, 2023 for plantar fasciitis. I dont have any insurance so I was asked to pay $500 deposit and I was told if the total amount is less I will be issued a refund. At the time of check out they are not able to tell me how much the total bill is. I called multiple times to ask how much the bill is and check on the status of the refund and was told different amount on how much my refund would be. Once they told me $101 and the other time is $96. I also received a mail telling me what I owed so I called again and was told to disregard the mail and it will take few more weeks. I called another foot door to check how much they charge without insurance and found out that the Oklahoma Foot and **************** in *****, ******** would charge about $300. I wanna know why they cannot tell me the amount I have to pay the day of my visit and why its taken almost three months from the time of my visit to process the bill and get any response from them about my refund. It was frustrating to call because Im not getting a definite response.

      We appreciate the patient reaching out with concerns. In review, we were able to establish a different workflow that would better support our self-pay patients. Estimated costs are provided at the time of appointment with indication it is only an estimate as additional services may be rendered. I spoke with the patient this afternoon and advised of the refund amount. Refund will be submitted via mail on 10/24. Patient expressed understanding.
