    This company towed my vehicle illegally. I have documentation from the Assistant City Attorney saying itwas legally parked on City property. They refuse to refund the $250 in cash they demanded to release the fraudulently taken vehicle.

    We have been doing business in ****** for 26 years.  We see many changes over the time for the ******************** as well as OU.  Some of them being parking.  The vehicle that was towed was in an inlet from the street in front of the property marked with a No Parking sign.  The tenant of that property was told by his landlord that he had permission to tow from that location.  So he called us to come and tow it stating that he had the authority to have that vehicle removed.  He signed the Tow Authorization form provided by the ********** of ****** Safety with his signature and ID# as a agent for that property.  We did tow the vehicle in good faith that what he was telling us was the truth.  As for ********** of ****** Safety they did check into this as well and found that there was no error on our part.  ********** of ****** Safety is the ones who governs us.  It was at the fault of the tenant or landlord/owner of the property.  The landlord/owner did already reimburse the owner of the vehicle.  She just wanted us to reimburse her also.  I have also attached a copy of the *************************/s Office print out of that property.  The overlay shows that 1/2 of the property belonging to the Owner and the other 1/2 to the ********************.  As for trying to talk to anyone on this we were unable to get a word in to explain and tell them they need to contact the owner of the property or the tenant who signed the form.  We did do our job legally.  We also allowed the son to pick up the vehicle with only a written letter of authorization instead of it being notarized which is the legal way to release a vehicle when the son was not the registered owner.  I thought we were being nice by allowing that to happen.  We were also contacted by Channel 4 News.  As far as I know I don't think they went any further on that story after talking to us and doing their own research.  There are some people out there that you just can't make happy

    I am rejecting this response because: it is their responsibility to be informed of their responsibilities. Saying too bad for you we dont know our job is not a responsible way to do business. They were provided with the correct information the Friday evening it happened from The ******************** website and they chose to ignore it. They should not be allowed to profit from being inept at their responsibilities.

    We were called out by a person who stated that they had the authority to remove the vehicle with the authorization from the property owner.  It was marked with No Parking signs so we removed the vehicle with the written authorization on the legal DPS form.  As stated before, streets and parking change all the time for the ******************** and OU.  Her opinion that we did the wrong thing was proven by DPS that we did not.  We spoke with DPS and they cleared us that we did do our job properly.   She has already received her money back from the property owner.  Our drivers are paid on commission and this would take money away from him at Christimas time that he did earn by doing his job.  We do donations in many ways all throughout the year.  I do not feel that we have to donate to the Bridges of ****** just because this is what she wants us to do.

    I am rejecting this response because: he is right, claiming ignorance has worked with DPS. However, my position is that they did the wrong thing by not checking the readily available map on the ******************** website, when it was brought to their attention on Friday evening. Owners nephew informed me he had checked the map and my son was wrong. He can hide behind DPS and claimed ignorance, but in the end, this was bad business. After confirming they were wrong, the owner refused to respond to written messages sent. Others that contacted his office on my sons behalf were screamed and cussed at. He doesnt have to do the right thing, but should. If for nothing more than goodwill after the treatment we all received at his companys hands.
