I had taken my car to Priebe's auto clinic to get some repairs on my brakes around the 10th or 11th of January 2025 then 2 or 3 days later they called me back and told me it wasn't the pads & rotors like I initially thought, but rather the brake booster and Cyli node , so they quoted me a price of about 1000 dollars and I said fix the problem! So a day or two later I go to pick my car up and the brakes are better but not holding like they should be , so I took my car to another mechanic and they told me that the booster had been painted over to look new but the cylinode was new !! So I never went back to Priebe's to have the issue resolved because I felt like I couldn't trust them if they tried to get over the first time !! Plus the young lady that worked the front desk and answered the phone was very rude and unprofessional ! I didn't want to be bothered with this type of business again I just want my money back since they didn't fix the brakes right in the first place ! Plus ,, they lied to me and had originally told me that they would deduct the initial inspection on the repair bill if I let them fix my car ,, but when came time for me to pick my car up they said they wouldn't deduct it cause the repair wasn't the pads like I thought but something else !!! Which is not what they told me ,, they should have deducted the inspection regardless of the final work done like they said they would !

Customer came in for a brake pad and rotor inspection. We found that the brake pads and rotors were in ok condition at this time.  Had to move into full brake hydraulic system testing.  Found that the brake master cylinder had failed and leaked brake fluid into the brake booster.  We quoted repairs to the customer and explained that cost of inspection, parts, labor, tax, and fees.  Customer agreed to the repairs at 9:01 am on Jan 20th.  Repair were completed as quoted for the Exact dollar amount agreed to before repairs were begun.  We installed a brand new master cylinder and a remanufactured brake booster.  Brake booster was painted grey from the remanufacturing facility.  Old part was sent back for core credit.   All parts that we installed are covered under our 5 year unlimited mileage warranty.  Customer is more than welcome to return to our shop for warranty work if needed.  If customer is outside of our service area, warranty can be completed at no charge to customer nation wide.  Customer has clearly been mislead as to the parts used.  Accusations of painting parts and not installing new parts are not only unfounded, they don't even make sense.  Why would we remove a part and take the time to clean it, paint it,  and reinstall it?     In the automotive industry our biggest expense is our technicians.  We don't have time to waste cleaning and painting parts. I have attached invoices for both the part purchase and the return of the CORE ONLY, clearly showing that we purchased the brake booster and sent back the old faulty unit.
