      Card reader malfunction at self-service car wash resulted in overcharge - The button to stop charges on the card reader machine was not working and the company failed to respond to request for refund. On April 20, 2023, I was hoping to wash my car using only my left hand (I currently have a broken right wrist/arm in a brace), but after swiping my debit card, I quickly realized that I wouldn't be able to do it, so I pushed the green button on the machine that is supposed to stop charges. It would not work, and the charges just kept racking up on the digital counter. I knocked on the office door but no one answered. I called the phone number posted and left a voice mail. I texted the number, and all the while charges kept racking up. I tried swiping a blank card through the reader several times, then finally pushed really hard on the button with my key and charges finally stopped, but only after a big overcharge. That debit amount has now been posted to my account. This is not the first time I've had trouble with this company. Previously, I swiped a card in a wash bay and there was no soap coming out of the wand. At least I was able to stop charges at $1.50 in that case. And I also left a voice mail and text asking for a refund after that happened but never got a reply and never got a refund. This car wash previously was well-maintained, but ever since Kingmakers Capital Group of Edmond purchased it, customer service seems non-existent. When card reader buttons malfunction or the soap wand won't dispense soap, the company should be obligated to refund customer money.

      We own six washes in the metro area the have signs that read "The Car Wash"  However, when we sold **** NW 23rd the owner did not change the signs.  The new owner then sold it to a group called ************************ of ******.  ******** County has there address as ********************************************************************  ******** State has the registered agent of ************************ of ****** as

      We are the previous owner of the car wash that ***** referred to at the end of her complaint that did keep the car wash maintained and everything working.  We take pride in what we do.  We work hard to keep the car washes working and clean.  We do have a help line when that is needed.  Will you please not post in complaints against The Car Wash as that is not the business she is referring to.  You should be posting complaints against the current owner so both the car wash customers and investors of the group and location can be aware.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and understand that my complaint was sent to a previous owner of the ** 23rd St car wash instead of the current owner.  The previous owner has other locations called The Car Wash and wants to make sure that their current car washes aren't associated with this complaint.  When they owned this location it was well-maintained.

      The new owners were supposed to take down the sign with the name "The Car Wash" but they have not done so. So please remove the business name "The Car Wash" from my complaint and change it to  "** 23rd St Car ****** **************************

      The previous owner has nothing to do with this location so I accept her response, but I do wish to proceed with my complaint against the current owner ***********
