1 starI am filing a complaint against OneGold.com due to severe issues: account suspension, withheld funds, and uncooperative customer service.
After depositing nearly $1,000 to purchase gold/silver, and making an initial withdrawal, my account faced re-verification after I tried to change my debit card. Despite providing multiple valid IDs (bank statements, government correspondence, etc.), OneGold insisted on an "electric bill" for KYC, which I lack. This blocked and suspended my account.
Customer service was futile. Representatives (****, *******, *****, ***) were unhelpful or hung up. Supervisor Alex seemed to spitefully fail my KYC verification, despite promising help.
OneGold closed my account, holding funds for 60 days as a "refund." Their indifference to whether the original bank account might still be open (stated as "not his problem") is alarming, given prior allowed transactions.
This company operates unprofessionally. Customer service infrastructure seems overwhelmed. Processes are arbitrary, customer-hostile. The mobile app is defective (crashing/loading issues), preventing in-app verification. They also enforce an undisclosed "lifetime limit" of six linked debit cards, triggering my re-verification nightmare.
I consider OneGold's practices highly sketchy. They accepted my money before imposing impossible verification standards, then unjustly withheld my assets. I'm disputing charges with my bank. This has been a waste of time and caused significant distress. I urge an immediate investigation.Review fromRich M

1 star***** $ for an ounce of gold !!! Thats what I paid !!!! They made 45,210$ for 3.6 ounces of gold !!! I GOT hosed!!! Now worth about 6,500$!!!!!!!!!! This company made 39,000$ off of my 401k!!!! This is a complete rip off !!!! And theres nothing I can do about it!!!! Its my fault - I did not educate myself - I will never EVER be able to make up that loss!!! Then they charge you 200$ a year to hold your measly 3 ounces!!! You will never ever make money with this kind of scam !!! Im totally ****** that I didnt educate myself - I tell everyone I know -DO NOT DO THIS!!!!!!!!!! They tell you all the things you want to hear - then quickly run through the numbers and your so into the gold - you do not realize your getting totally ripped off!!!!!!! Hello, While we did provide a $5 promotional credit, the $5 will be removed if the OneGold account is not funded for 90 days following the credit. As the account was not funded for anything beyond the promotional $5 for 90+days, the promotional $5 was removed. This is in keeping with our policy regarding the promotional $5.
