    On 08/18/2023, I received a bill for $25.00 that supposedly was incurred on 04/04/2022. I called the office and was told that this was a charge for getting a prescription for new lenses. I was seen in this office on 04/20/2023 and was not informed of the balance. I also paid $25 at the time for the prescription I received. I did see the sign at checkout on this year's visit. I did not see any signage or remember anyone saying that prescriptions were not covered by insurance or I would have paid at that time. Since I do not itemize on taxes, I do not keep most medical records if payment has been made and no bill is sent. They said their billing was that far behind(over a year) which I find amusing. Most insurance won't pay that far passed so no way to recover. I would like to have the $25 written off as no one asked for payment at time of service nor did anyone say it wasn't covered by insurance. To bill over a year later, limits the patient's ability to research a payment.
