We attended a New Year's Eve event at the *** and decided during the evening that it would be best to get a room and spend the night rather than traveling after the event ended... my husband called the hotel and was priced a room at $60.. he went to the front desk and was told because we were with the event the room was now $80.... Room 153 was the last room available. ..a price increase for someone attending an event at their hotel? That was the first red flag.. he purchased the room at 11:23pm and returned to the event.. We did not try to enter the room until after 2am when the event ended. The door keys would not work and we had to return to the front desk and was given new keys.Upon opening the door, 2 roaches ran across the entertainment center...It was late on New Years Eve and were not wanting to find another room.. however when I pulled the bedding back another ***** crawled out from the sheets.. then looking around found more crawling on the walls and baby roaches in the bath tub...We quickly determined we could not stay in this room and returned to the front desk. The worker at the front desk advised he would only be able to give a partial refund as we picked up the keys a few hours earlier. I reminded him we had just been in to get keys that worked for our door so we had not been in the room at all. He still only offered a partial refund. I did not accept this refund as it would indicate that I had "used" the room and agreed when I had not. The door keys did not work and the accesses could be checked to verify.I asked for a detailed receipt and was advised there is only the credit card receipt given for my records?I have been trying to call the hotel all morning to speak with a manager and the phone rings and rings.. I have also tried looking online for other contact info, or corporate office contact info with no luck. I am requesting contact from some one at the management/corporate level to contact me concerning this visit and a refund.
