My 2 children had been enrolled in the school for the 2024-2025 school year, but we made the decision to withdrawal last spring ~2 weeks after the deadline. The school charged half of the annual tuition even though my children never attended a single day of the 24-25 school year. (The school has a high enrollment, so it is very doubtful that any money was lost by my children's withdrawal.) I met with the school business office shortly after the withdrawal, and I thought we had agreed that my state private school grants would cover the outstanding balance, and I signed over the first check to them to cover half the balance. In early fall I received a notification that the school had returned my second check to the state, I did not receive any further communication or notification about any further money owed until today, I received an automated message that the school was charging me $4275 for the rest of the late withdrawal fee. (Again, my children did not attend a single day of the school year). If the school had had any direct communication with me when the second grant check had come in, we would have been able to resolve this situation, but as the check has been returned to the state, and there was no communication about action required on outstanding balances owed until today(and it was an automated message), I don't think it's right for them to charge me $4275 out-of-pocket, especially considering that this is a junk withdrawal fee rather than a fee for services rendered. I called the business office, but they said it was all my fault (even though I would have quickly taken action if there had been better communication).

Please find attached a letter outlining the ****** enrollment agreement and billing history. I have attached the enrollment agreements and tuition schedule as supporting documentation to substantiate the charges billed to the ***** family.
