I live in a cul-de-sac between two women who, like myself are white, elderly and disabled. The rest of the community is predominantly Hispanic. The management team gives the 3 of us a particularly hard time as any of us will attest to. In particular, they have so-called community standards that require the grass to be micro short, and they do not care that we are disabled & unable to mow our own lawns. They force mow them by a certain time on Mondays, but are supposed to provide a written notice on the Friday before. Today my lawn was mowed, but there was never a notice, as my roommate can attest to, as well as my neighbor, who watches over my house from hers. Nothing was ever delivered here although the manager **** claims, she wrote the notice herself, and so that I had to have received it, but I did not She is a very heartless and rude woman and seems to be personally attacking me and the lady to my right with nitpicking about appearances of the properties which we rent. They forced me to take down my blinds because they had some broken slats and I had to purchase curtains to put in the windows. I own the home that sits on their property and I pay $435 a month just for it to sit on their land. They provide no services whatsoever for free - they charge for everything they do. They do not care that we are on Social Security and have a limited income. In fact, when I was trying to discuss the matter with one of the management team (*************************) sometime back, her response was at least I get paid. These women are rude and hateful and I want something done about it. In fact, they are so horrible that I am in the process of packing and getting ready to sell my house just to get away from them because they are causing me tremendous emotional distress (I was ready to commit ******* after trying to talk to **** on the phone today ) as well as financial hardship. I would like a refund of all mowing fees from the time I moved in which was in August 2017.

We do not give anyone a hard time. We have community standards that everyone in the community is responsible for upholding and they sign a lease after reading these standards stating they understand them and will comply with them. We do give mow notices when the yard is not mowed and taller than it should be. We give three days for the residents to mow their yards. We put the date on the notice of when it needs to be done by. If it is not by this date then we have a crew that will come mow the lawn. The notices do state how much we will charge to mow the lawn. Anytime this resident gets a mow notice she always expresses she does not want to pay. We are not able to address everything with her at all times because most of the time she prefers the communication to go through her father that does not live in the community. We have always had open and honest conversations with her that are respectful, but just letting her know that this community does have standard that need to be upheld. If these standards are not kept up with then we will continue to send her necessary notices to make sure that they are being kept up with just as we would any resident in this community. We strive to keep this community nice, quiet and a clean community to live in. We do not single out any one resident, but any resident that does not comply with the standards will receive a notice informing them of what needs to  be done to be compliant.
