We put solar panels in our house, it took us almost 5 months to get the panels finally installed and working, we had many problems at the beginning because Vyvue promised us we wouldn't need to pay more electric and our electric bills continued. After several months trying to contact Vyvue it seems there is no more business, we paid off the panels, the contract states guarantee for 25 years. Our panels hasn't been working since February according to OG&E. Now, we have nobody to contact, nobody to respond to guarantee.Business Response

This started in February to March of 2023 Here is a synopsis I was scammed. My attorney ******* ***** called & told me his partner, **** ****, had a solar company client, who got a contract for 1000's of roof tops & if they could get 16 more they could save $100 on each panel, They offered free solar plus $5000 for 16 homeowners in Utah who agreed to get it. They needed to sign their rebates to Vyvue, the solar company. ***** said his sibling(s) & ****'s were doing it. He said in leu of the $5000 I could get a new roof. **** called & said that to prove I was a responsible person I needed to fill out a credit application w/Mosaic so they could check my credit. I didn't understand, but did as told. My credit was excellent, but am living on a fixed income. It was for $135000. I expressed concern. He promised I would never have to pay a cent. He said Vyvue was part of Vivent and had lots of money & they would pay the loan before it was due--he now admitted it was a loan .I never got a contract or itemized statement of what I would receive or the costs. I never saw a contract or list. I kept getting bills from Mosaic. **** said he would take care of it, and I would not receive more. I kept getting them. He did not fix it. Then, as the loan payments started being due, I got requests to set up automatic payments. I told ****. He said he would check with his "partners" which was the 1st time he admitted being an owner/higher up of Vyvue, but didn't "think they would object to making the payments"& he said he set up automatic payments from their account. He said I would not have to pay it. I want Vyvue to pay the bill, as promised. He said Vyvue was part of Vivent and had lots of money & they would pay the loan before it was due--he now admitted it was a loan.. I never saw a contract or list. I kept getting bills from Mosaic. **** said he would take care of it, and I would not receive more. I kept getting them.. I want Vyvue to pay the bill, as promised.Business Response

Adam Ford is no longer associated with Vyvue. We are sorry for your experience. We have have had to conduct research, because we were completely unaware of the arrangement you have described. Vyvue is not a part of, or affiliated with, Vivint. Vyvue does not have any incentives or rebate programs that you have described for referrals. Any programs to “sign their rebates”, tax incentives, would require additional documents that Vyvue would have been aware of, and where not available at the time of your install. These documents are not associated with your account. Vyvue, contracted for your roof replacement and installed your Solar System.Customer Answer

An ethical
company would honor the promises made by its employees to its customers. Otherwise it could be considered fraud. A business could, theoretically, advise its
employees to make false promises to get sales, and then not provide the
promises once the sale is made.
There is a
solar company in my area that had door
to door salesmen doing just that. The
company claimed the salesmen were not acting on their instruction, (though all
of them did the same thing.) The court found the company liable and they had a
hefty price to pay.
In addition,
I grew up with a family owned discount department store. My dad was the president and CEO. None of the employees were paid on commission,
but if one made false promises to a customer, say a top of the line bicycle for
$2, if they also bought a tricycle, or a top of the line camera for a dollar,
if they bought 10 rolls of film, my dad honored the promise. The employee might have been fired, but my
dad said honoring the promise was the ethical thing to do, and not to do so,
could constitute the appearance of fraud. In addition, I have yet to receive an
itemized list of what I was to receive for the $135,000 they received from
Mosaic. I received 14 solar panels, and
a roof over my old roof of my 930 square foot home. Everyone I told that has expressed "that
is pure fraud." How much do they
charge per panel? How much do they
charge per square foot for an asphalt roof over an existing roof? Where is the itemized list of the extremely price
inflated items I was to receive?
I was given
quotes prior to this situation, from reputable businesses. A total new roof--$6-8,000. Solar (more than 14 panels) covering my
roof--$20-25,000.
At the very
least, Vyvue was price gouging, even if they don't back promises made by their
employees to get sales.
Sincerely,
***** ****Initial Complaint

I signed a contract with Vyvue for solar panel installation on my home in December 2024. When the installation was to occur, it was determined that my roof needed to be replaced. This was completed by the end of December. There was an addendum to the agreement stating that the system was to be operational by January 31st in exchange for me releasing the loan funds early. I stupidly agreed to releasing loan funds early so contractor could make payroll in December. The name of employee asking for the favor was ***** *******. I believed his promises and believed he would honor our deal. That did not happen. My panels were installed the first week in February and are still not operational. I had to beg the city to do an inspection without having an electrician present. The company did nothing to help with that process. The application was submitted to the utility and it failed that inspection due to the VA production box being wired backwards. The company contacted an electrical contractor in Kansas City. The electrical contractor set up an appointment with me for Wednesday (today) morning. On Tuesday morning I received a call saying they were canceling the appointment at the direction of Vyvue. I was told the electrical contractor was charging too much. I even offered to pay him myself just yo get it done. I was told they have a guy coming, but no confirmation or ETA. I have sent several texts and called multiple times over the last 2 days and have yet too receive a response
Also, they have on their website that they are rated A+ by the BBB which obviously isn’t true. There are multiple complaints against this company. Not sure why no one has shut them down yet.Business Response

I purchased the Solar system in July of 2023. It took till January 2024 to finally get it hooked up and running. I just seen on my solar app that it's only showing 10 panels working. I have 11 on my roof and the 10th one showing is barely working. I have tried to contact Vyvue Solar and all numbers I had for contacts are no longer working. I contacted an electrician that worked for them and he said they no longer support Kansas. They did everyone wrong. I tried emailing them and no reply. I called a number off website and no call back. This system suppose to have a 25 Year warranty. they stated when I purchased it that they would support it. I want someone to get all 11 panels working at there optimal performance.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I have left them a message on the number provided before filing this complaint and still have not been contacted by a customer service representative to help resolve my issue. I have replied back to there email that they sent a brochure that has nothing to do with the issue I am having. I have stated for them to call me to resolve the issue. I have asked for all the serial numbers of my panels to I can contact NEP back as I already contacted them and they can't do anything without the serial numbers. NEP stated I should have gotten the serial sheet from them when they installed them. My issue won't be resolved till all 11 panels are working correctly like they should have been in the first place!

We have contacted NEP management. The information they gave you about us being required to leave you a map of your serial numbers of your panels is incorrect. The numbers above your panels on your app are the serial numbers of to the inverters, the serial number of each panel has nothing to do with NEP. NEP is able to see any panels that are under producing and determine the cause. Each NEP inverter is linked to two panels. When there is an odd number of panels, that inverter is only linked to one panel. NEP has been all the inverter serial numbers and provided information regarding your job. We have have someone contact you. We have no record of voice mail.Initial Complaint

The contract with sales representative *** ******* with Vyue solar company was signed October 25, 2022. As of today the job still is not complete. I have tried to get them to complete the job but they just give me the run around. They had me finance this job with Mosiac for the amount of approximately $134,430.28 which I have been paying monthly plus they said I had to pay approximately 40,000. 00 after 6 months or the monthly payment would go up even though the job isn't complete. I keep texting *** ******* to get the job completed. I have also been calling Vyvu office in okc. They sometimes say they don't have my contract and other times they say they are working on permits and then other times they say the batteries are hard to get or they need to get another type/brand than we had contracted for. They never call or contact me when I have called and asked to talk to the manager or owner.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The salesman *** ******* has the information on what he charged me for. He says he is working on getting the batteries and permits, but my problem is this has been going on for two years and I have been paying for the completed job! It doesn't take this long to get batteries and install the power. You all are just giving me the run around because I'm a senior citizen and don't know much about this solar stuff. I trusted Ben to be honest and do what he promised he would do!

Around March 2023, I had vyvue install solar panels on my house. They claimed I would have a lifetime warranty on the roof, for any damage they caused. During August 2024, a leak was found on my roof causing the ceiling in my bedroom to partially collapse. On further investigation a small hole was found drilled next to the bracket securing the solar pannel to the roof. The company sent an individual to the house who agreed stating it was definitely their fault. After being given the run around for over a month the company denied doing anything wrong claiming "a storm must have taken a roofing nail out of the roof." In order to get my house repaired, I then went through my Insurance paying my $2000 deductible to get my house repaired. Insurance and the contractor both agree that it was definitely Vyvues fault and that they had likely missed patching the hole.Business Response
Date: 11/20/2024
In a video that is too large to attach to the response it shows where the leak was in your roof. This hole is not in connection with our solar installation, and now that another contractor has made repairs, we are unable investigate further. The solar penetration is in the rafter several inches from the hole in your roof. Your solar installation was completed in February of 2023. We where not notified about any leak until after new windows where installed on your home, over a year and a half after our original installation. A leak with the amount of water seen in the video would have appeared very soon after the solar installation. We did not receive any contact from you after our conversation and our inspection showing that our solar penetration did not cause your leak.Initial Complaint

I used Vyvue because of the ****** sellers pushing it. It has been a nightmare. It took a year for everything to be complete and that was because I had to keep calling every few weeks to make sure things were getting done. There was always an excuse (a placard, too busy, etc) Finally, most everything was done. The last thing needed to be done was spray insulation that Vyvue charged me 7k for. I waited almost 4 extra months for the insulators to come to my house only for them to tell me that my attic space is too small for spray foam insulation. They they rented a machine from Lowes and bought 10 bags of insulation (the fabric kind with the fiberglass in it). They only used 5 bags in my house because there was some already in there. So the salesman sold me a lie without even knowing what I needed and made a solar plan for my house based on 30% help from insulation when I was already getting probably 80-90% from what I had. They spent less than 1k dollars on labor and material and charged me 7k and for a different foam then they said they would use. I don't have a contract that states it cost 7k but I have text messages from the salesman that it was a 7k insulation package and that if I paid someone to do it myself, it would cost 7k. Well he was wrong!Business Response

I believe that you are in communication with our VP of Operations. If there is anything else we can do please let us know. Your sales person does not work for Vyvue, he works for ******. ****** is a sales dealer. Once the sales dealer sells and designs the solar system, they hand it off to one of several contractors, one of which was Vyvue, to engineer, permit, and instal the project. We have emailed you your actual solar proposal that was submitted. I believe you have direct contact information for us should you need further assistance.

I signed the agreement in July of 2023. Solar Panels were installed in November of 2023. I paid for an adder of spray foam installation that was supposed to be done after the installation of the panels. We are now into AUGUST of 2024 and still no spray foam. The spray foam alone was almost $6,000. I was also told that we wouldn't have an electric bill anymore and that we would overproduce and get credits from the electrical company. I've had a bill every month with my last bill being over $200. We had a power outage which knocked out our wifi, and they never left the property equipment to reconnect it. Keep saying its being mailed to us but 3 weeks now and nothing. At this point I want them to come pick up their equipment and purchase it back from me. I don't care about the money I'm already out, I just don't want to continue paying for something that doesn't work.Business Response

We have also been in contact with ******************************** has extensive work needed in her attic that would be outside our contracted scope of work. We have offered to complete this work in lieu of spray foam, we have also offered to complete the spray foam after he has the dangerous issues corrected and the degraded insulation removed. We also offered Mrs. ******* additional solar panels in lieu of spray foam. During our last communication with Mrs. ******* she indicated she was going to replace her roof in order to list her home for sale. We told her we would remove and rest her solar panels for her at that time. She too told my staff he would resolve this issue with the BBB.

In September ***************************************************************************** the attic. 3 months later they finished the physical install and left, saying the spray foam would be completed after the house passed inspection by the local utility provider. In January 2024, we had to start making payments on the system. In May, 2024 after multiple attempts to contact the company, we finally contacted the local utility provider and they informed us that a permit had never been applied for and no inspections had been requested. After the lender stepped in and contacted Vyvue for us, we found out Vyvue had sent our info to the wrong utility provider, even though they had our utility bill on file. Finally, in June 2024 the inspection was completed by the utility provider. I texted the contact I had for Vyvue and they told me to turn on the breakers and main disconnect myself and the system would be on. I did so, but the display does not register any power production.I have called every number I can find, emailed every email I can find, texted every number I can find, but 2 weeks later I still have zero response from anyone.Business Response
