    in2013 I purchased a tornado shelter from their distributor(********************* ************) in ******** ********. It was put into a place they cut out into my attatched garage concrete floor. I havent had to use it in a long time so when recently needed to shelter for tornado warning , found it full of water. I grabbed rubber boots and sat on steps hoping I wouldnt need to pull the lid and get all the way down in it. My dad reminded me to check contract and it clearly states that smart shelters provides a lifetime warranty against corrosions and leakage. I bought a shop vac and found it useless so borrowed a sump pump and conservatively estimate 100 gallons of ***** water with sludge on the bottom of the shelter. ****** doesnt answer his number any longer and Smart Shelter says it up to him to fix it. I called them 3 times and they finally said , it was up to the distributor no matter what the contract said. I paid$ ***** for the large size shelter. It is a wet unsafe "shelter" at this point. I have been told they have no answers for me. I have the contract and I also have pictures showing the mess this shelter is in. my otherwise dry garage attatched to my house.. the number for Smart shelters ************.I am hoping BBB can help me resolve this very upsetting dilema.Sincerely, ***********************

    Purchased a in ground XL shelter in 10/2014 it has worked up until this spring my family went to get in and over 2 foot of water in it from a whole that rusted through the floor. They say their lifetime warranty is the responsibility of the installer. Installer is no longer in business and says it is the manufacturer responsible. Which they are the ones that advertising the lifetime warranty.
