On February 14, 2025 I admitted myself into residential treatment in ******, **. Before doing so it took two weeks of preparation with family. I was not one to have an easy beginning as I slept for a majority of the first week and most of the second. I finally began to get into the rhythm of things with individual counseling and encouragement from some counselors and residents. My blood pressure had dropped extremely low on several occasions leaving me not able to wake up on 3 different days. The third time this happened n March the 13th,I was told I needed to go to the urgent care clinic by ***** the director of that facility. I stated "that I didn't want to go and that I was fine." He replied "that I needed to go to ensure my health was up to par as not to medically discharge me from the program". He also added "that I can't keep missing group meetings because it would be a waste of time and resources." That I can understand. Being that my 'release' date would have been April the 9th I felt in the next 2 1/2 weeks I could improve and complete the program. On Thursday March 20th I had applied for sober living housing. I was excited about the possibility of getting back on my feet and prospect of a new town and career was needed. The next afternoon, around 4:30pm I was awoken by someone telling me I had 15 minutes to pack my things and go. Apparently, I had slept through a not-usual group meetings. No talking about it! No alternatives! Just GO! That weekend after I got back home I never woke up until Monday morning. I proceeded to call many numbers with the hope of being able to go back to Catalyst. Not only for me but to show the courts. They say they would never turn anyone away and know how it is to have everyone throw you out or be done. Yet they did that same thing. For the next week I lay in the bed not able to leave the house scared to relapse. They sent me home with no paperwork nor after care plan of any sort. ***** needs a new career!
