    Dear Better Business Bureau Representative,I am submitting this formal complaint to report a troubling and unresolved issue with Okie Trees owned and operated by ***** *****, regarding a significant breach of contract, failure to honor a verbal and written guarantee, and conduct that I believe qualifies as deceptive and unethical business behavior. I respectfully request BBB intervention to facilitate a resolution and prevent others in our community from suffering similar mistreatment.?Nature of the Complaint On, July 23rd we hired Okie Trees to perform a professional landscaping service, specifically to plant [4] trees on my property. This work was contracted for a total sum of $1200, which I paid in full prior to the completion of the work. The payment was made via check and covered all costs related to tree delivery, planting, labor, and the service ************ part of the agreement, ***** assured us that all trees installed would be healthy, nursery-grade quality and acclimated to the local climate and soil conditions. Moreover, and most critically, he promised that any trees that did not survive within the first year due to stress, shock, or improper planting would be replaced at no additional cost.I agreed to these terms in good faith, under the assumption that the company would stand behind its word and its work. It has been almost a full year since the trees have died and he has given every excuse possible. My truck blew up, its rained too much, I cant get trees. He at this point will not replace them or return our money. He has also been taken to small claims court by other individuals. This is absolutely outrageous he has been stealing from people.

    ***** has failed to withhold to the standards of his guaranteed warranty for replacement of trees within the first year that do not make it. Have tried to make contact with him several times and he will just block accounts and has made it pretty clear he doesnt stand by his word. I am certain he is out scamming others as we speak. He needs stopped before taking advantage of others.

    August 2022 purchased 19 trees from Okie Trees and Shane. Trees started dying within a few months even though we watered and worked feverishly to save. Contacted Shane 12 times and he does nothing. Always has other people ahead of us! His warranty is worthless and we have lost 8 out of the 19 trees and 4 more not looking good. Everyone, go elsewhere for your trees!

    I paid for 4 large trees for Shane aka Okie trees, to plant. A total of $1300. He offered a year guarantee that if the trees didn't survive, he would replace them up until 1 year after planting. He planted 3 maples and 1 river birch in March of 2022.
    In late May, the river birch was not looking well and had not leafed out. I notified Shane of this, at that time, and again 8 other times with the last time being January of 2023. Each time he responded telling me to be patient and that he would replace the tree in the fall. Fall came and went and he never replaced the tree. He did not respond to my last message in January of 2023. I have not heard from him since. I would either like the 450.00, I paid for the tree, to be refunded, or for him to replace the tree with another riverbirch similar in size.

    My parents, ***** and ******* ***** bought 5 trees with a 1 year warranty. Two trees didn't make it within this year. My mother tried contacting them and they gave a few excuses and blocked her phone. This is $400 worth of trees. We would like our warranty honored.

    This business is called Okie Lawn & Trees on Facebook. Contacted the business to determine its interest in purchasing and planting a tree in Tulsa area. I was told they could do it by a date I provided. Price was agreed upon. I contacted Okie Trees several times requesting a specific date and the response was I'll get back to you with an answer. Avoid this company at all costs unless you like being lied to. Do not pay anything up front unless the product or service is provided either.

    Okie Trees or Shane's Lawn and Landscaping planted two trees for our HOA. Each tree had a 1-yr warranty. The trees didnt last 6 mos before dying. Our HOA has tried more than 8 times to contact Shane using three different callers. Each time he provides an excuse why he can't act at the moment and then never answers another call from that number. He has no intention of honoring his warranties.
