  Fairway Roofing was contacted by my landlord regarding damages related to the tornado that went through ************, ** in May 2024. The crew arrived to start the work on 9/5/24. I spoke with the contractor, ****, that evening and we discussed there were 3 fence panels, 2 posts and 2 ground spikes that belonged to me and were to be left alone (they had been stacked on top of an old fence panel at the back corner of the ************ did not finish the work on first day, but they did return next day after I had left for work. When I arrived home that 2nd evening, the work had been completed and the crew was gone, as were the materials I had asked the contractor to leave. A cable had also been left hanging down across the back of the house. I called Fairway and spoke to ****, asking about my fence materials, if he had an agreement from the landlord to use those materials as I needed to find out where the materials were and how to go about getting them back. He stated he and the landlord did not discuss any plans to use the materials. He had used parts of one of the panels and the crew took the rest of the panels and materials, hauling them away as scrap. I called my landlord and was told there had been no discussion about using fencing materials that were present on the property. I called ****, again, and asked him to return the materials. He said he still has the materials and will return. Calls were made on 9/6, 9/9 and 9/16/24. I have not received any communication from Fairway (****). I am down $375 in materials. That was out of my pocket. No response nor return of materials nor reimbursement for those materials is not very good business practice.

  Received quote from Fairway roofing of $3280. We gave them the bid. They did a good job in a fairly reasonable amount of time. They invoiced us $4532(38% increase) after the job was completed. Would not recommend them for this reason

  This quote was for new construction as an estimate.  We only bill for materials and labor used for the project. Our rates stay the same but the size of roof was bigger so more materials were used. Our intentions are to provide good service at the same rates for this reason our rates are noted beforehand.
