They took over 8 months to complete a 30x40 metal shop. Did not follow their engineers drawing, for the slab or steel frame. Owner/manager (***** *******) and sales guy (***** *******) did not manage crews or inspect their work. I pointed out many things as the building was put together. Then when he wanted final payment, I had to refuse to pay till everything was completed or repaired to meet my requirements. Some things I had to settle on because to correct it right it would have to been completely rebuilt. they tried to go cheap on many things instead of doing things the right way. wood frame doors instead of metal, overhang without flashing installed, no drip edge on concrete, overhand installed with metal tabs to building frame instead of welding to frame, and Glad it is over, and would never suggest someone to use them.

I would also like to add some detail to this as there are a lot of pertinent details missing. We had provided 5 total estimates looking to get *** ****** into a shop that would fit his needs and his ********** Alford signed a contract with us 4/5/2024 We then sent him off to an engineer who was recommended by our supply shop and those engineered plans where not completed until 5/15/2024 which would need to be turned into the city for approval. May 22 my communication started with *** ****** asking for a start date and informing me that there where utilities under where he would want the building to go including a main power line and fiber optic lines and that he would like for us to keep the location and hand dig those holes. May 28th *** ****** let us know he had completed some additional clearing behind where the shop would be located. I let him know our concrete guy would need to get eyes on the pad and the utilities but that he was scheduled out a couple of weeks and shooting to come by to take a look. June 10th I updated *** ****** that he had 7 shops in front of his one being a large commercial project. At this point we are seeing a week of decent weather for every 2 weeks of solid rain. July 1st My concrete guy was going to meet with *** ****** but could not line up with his work schedule.July 2nd My concrete guy was able to meet with *** ****** after work to walk the project upon this meeting the scope of work and utilities involved where not going to work. The customer stated that a representative from *** said "there is no problem with us doing the work just not to advertise it" when he requested the permit. I let him know this was a risk i was not willing to have our concrete crew take and he agreed he did not want anybody to get hurt. I then contacted *** as well as the customer and we where told a representative needed to come to review the location. The soonest *** the customer could get was 2 weeks out with OEC. This ended with the resolution being to move the shop back which would include the customer moving his existing fence and updating the city.July 11th my concrete guy met with *** ******, went over the pad, set up and installed the additional items *** ****** required for certain work. July 19th after a few days of rain we where finally able to pour. My concrete guy was able to do the dirt work in a few hours so *** ****** reached out asking for a cheaper price after the work was completed because he only took him a couple of hours. My concrete guy took this on as the dirt contractor we use was behind 2-4 weeks due to consistent rain. And we discussed changing insulation and colors on the structure, color matching overhead doors, etc. I let him know at this point we still had a few projects in front of his as well as a large project we would be on for a while. We let him know we wanted to pour his concrete ahead of time to ensure we got it before colder weather came. We give our pads 2 week of cure time minimum also.August we received multiple weeks of rain which was communicated to further delay scheduling. September we completed the shops that where scheduled ahead of *** ******** October 4th we requested our framing materials to be pulled. and the shop framing was completed by October 9th. Upon material delivery *** ****** verified his material colors and an those where given to our supply shop. Upon completion the customer requested multiple things that where added onto the shop and some of which would later become a concern. Which we did at the request of the customer. Frustrations where brought up that sheathing the inside of the building with plywood wasn't going to be easy and that was where the concern started. Early December as concerns where brought up I called the engineer that originated the plans to do a site visit. I met her myself on the location and we walked through each scenario together. She offered to prepare a letter stating that structurally the building was sound and that no changes would need to be made. I contacted *** ****** after the meeting to let him know what the findings where but that I also wanted to take care of him. He prepared an email of changes that he would like to see and I completed them while also adding some of my own. To fully address what is being posted I agree with portions of this post. The 8 month timeline to complete a simple shop is not accurate as all of the changes, requirements, and weather for the initial time stated above need to be brought into consideration. I was disappointed with certain situations in this build and I did stand behind our name to ensure they where addressed and properly taken care of. Instead of following the advice of the engineer and legal counsel I took care of every request big or small to make sure he was a happy customer and taken care of.
