    purchased the ******** factory kicker subwoofer add on for the ***** Silverado (2022). recently had it installed thru the dealership and noticing how when i got it back and looked into the install and sound of said subwoofer the bass output is little to none i even purchased the bass k*** to be able to adjust the subwoofer levels i have the subwoofer k*** turned all the way up and there is no "real" bass coming out this subwoofer. i even took it back to the dealership and they re-checked everything they installed and they said everything is working and that this is all this sub will produce i then contacted ** OE tech support from kicker and made mention that the output of this subwoofer is "bad" and made mention that info i saw online from other consumers had similar issues with sound and they activated dip switches. tech support then tech support that changing any of the dip switch pins would void warranty from kicker (unit is shipped with all dip switches off)this unit is basically a $830 unit that does nothing with no adjustments that can be made (on the consumer side) it is a junk piece of equipment

    Customer contacted ********************** **************** on November 8, 2023 complaining that the Kicker power bar speaker in his side by side utility vehicle was not working.  Customer told our *** that he purchased the vehicle used and the power bar speaker was purchased and installed by the previous owner.  Our *** explained to him how our warranty works for original purchaser, and that warranty is not transferrable to subsequent purchasers/owners.  However, the *** told him if he would get a copy of the sales receipt from the original owner we would goodwill cover the repair or replacement of the speaker if within the warranty timeframe.  Customer sent in unit without a copy of sales receipt so we had no way to know when it was originally purchased.  Our repair department determined that the unit he sent in could not be repaired and we offered to replace his unit with a working unit for $345.  We currently sell the new power bar unit for $799, so we offered him a significant savings over purchasing a new unit on our website.  Customer said he could not obtain an original sales receipt from the previous owner and requested we send back his unit unrepaired, which we did.
