On Jan 16, 2024 I purchased a plug and play remote starter for my 2024 Ram 3500 truck - order number ******. The website requires the vehicle information before purchasing, so that the correct part can be supplied. The immediate order confirmation e-mail indicated the part was for a Ram 1500. I immediately sent a message disputing the model of the truck, so that the order could be processed correctly. My e-mail was replied to with an automated message that i would be in the queue. My order shipped promptly, however the order invoice indicates that the part is for a 2019 - 2023 Ram 1500, which is not my truck. I have e-mailed them asking for compatibility confirmation, as well as calling, which there is no option to leave a message and no one answers the phone. After seeing many similar complaints about customer service, I do not want to ship the part back in the hopes of getting a refund without confirmation that a refund will occur. I have since scheduled a remote start installation elsewhere, and am seeking a full refund of $565.49, which is my purchase price plus shipping. I do not want to incur any return shipping or restocking fees.Customer Answer

We purchased a kit from this company in early December. It was delivered December 16 and given as a Christmas gift the purchase email ****************** This item did not come with install instructions as you were to login with your account information on their website and get instructions and videos. attempted to do so, however, there are no videos or instructions provided. Tried logging in with other email addresses to create accounts in order tosimply contact customer service and get information. We sent several emails since December 25, 2024 trying to get information. Nothing has been received. We have also attempted to call the number provided on the website and there is no answer just answering service asking us to call back or email. This is very frustrating. Only part of the kit works if we are unable to use the second part of it wed like our money back although with all of these issues, they should be refunding us completely. This is so frustrating as it was a gift and a very expensive one. Without anyone contacting us back, we have to reach out to them in this manner, hoping to get some sort of response.Business Response

I ordered their product for a Christmas present. I spent around $500 on their remote started for my 2019 jeep wrangler. I got the product at the beginning of December. As they are only open Monday through Friday and final installation requires you to call them I waited until I was off during the week of Christmas to install. I have been trying to contact them since Monday December 23. I realize that is a holiday week so I contacted them by their email as well. I had gotten back an automated message with a ticket number and I received another automated message on December 26 stating response delay. Their contact number never gave any holiday hours it only tells you that if your calling during business hours that everyone is busy and call back another time. I have called at different times and almost daily since the 23 of December. I cannot finalize installation without them so I have a product that is useless to me. I feel as though I have given ample time past the holiday to either get someone on the phone or for them to reply to my ticket. Also the email response say specifically not to send in multiple emails as it will create another ticket number so I have only emailed once.Initial Complaint

I purchased this remote starter for my wifes car and when installing it there was a whole step missing in order for it to be installed. I have reached out to them multiple times first just to help with the missing step but at this point I want a refund as it has been over 2 weeks and all I have gotten is promised phone calls that never happen or text messages and emails saying I have been moved up to priority yet still no one has contacted me!Business Response

After ordering remote start it had went on 2 weeks with no shipping information when I paid for express shipping , sent email after email and no response, finally got product and installation instructions are NOT included, just a link to watch videos, videos offer no help on installation, they just say we are sorry for any inconvenience and are working on the videos please call customer support for help on installation. The remote start does not work on my vehicle and I have sent emails and have called number provided for 3 straight days and no answer or response on emails. At this point I do not want help on the product, I just want a refund because if it happened to work with help from a technician and something else goes wrong there will be no support.Customer Answer

Ordered a remote starter that this company specializes in. After a week I havent received an update on my order shipping. Multiple attempts calling and messaging with no answer. 11/15/23 ordered plug and play system for 2011 tacoma order#****** Paid $292 total ($262.50 for unit, $19 for shipping protection, $10.50 for shipping)Had issues with install of unit, sent back and requested a refund 11/21/23 Refunded $262.50 for unit, not refunded for the optional cart add on of $19 11/28/23 Looked at website and shipping protection is a cart add on that is not listed as non-refundable on the website Contacted support about not being refunded for shipping protection which is different from the actual shipping cost I was told it is non-refundable just as shipping is non-refundable Shipping protection = if unit is lost in mail, a replacement is sent. I didn't use this service as nothing was lost Business has refused to remedy the refund of the shipping protection as it is non-refundable by policy but that is not what the site says. They state shipping is non-refundable, not shipping protection. There is nothing in their policies that states shipping protection is non-refundable.I told this to 12 volt and only got a sorry and I'll let management know answer. I also got a poor explanation of how a cart add on for shipping protection is the same as a non-refundable shipping fee.Business Response

I have refunded the $19 shipping protection back to the card on file. While it is the company policy that this is non refundable on a shipment that has been sent out we have made an exception to resolve this issue. On 12/6/23 I was contacted by 12 Volt Solutions through your portal and they said they refunded my card the $19 shipping protection fee. I accepted their action on 12/16/23 even though the charge was not reflected on my card yet. Their website says refunds can take 4-5 weeks to appear. It has been 6 weeks and I still do not have my refund. I would like them to honor what they said or have my complaint against their business reinstated.Business Response
