  I recently went through the full interview process with Helmerich and Payne **** for a principal network security engineer and unfortunately, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. During the initial interview, the expectations for the role were clearly outlined, and leadership skills were never mentioned as a requirement. However, after multiple rounds, I was told in the final interview that they were looking for strong leadership qualitiessomething that had never been brought up before.On top of that, they flew me to *****, ********, for the final interview, promising that all expenses would be reimbursed. However, when I received my reimbursement, it was only half of what was promised. Despite multiple follow-ups, I never received the full amount. To make matters worse, HR has completely stopped responding to my inquiries regarding both the reimbursement and any updates on the hiring decision.What made the final interview even more uncomfortable was the behavior of one of the interviewers. They looked me up and downfrom my feet to my facein a way that felt highly inappropriate and unprofessional. It gave the impression of racial profiling, making me question whether I was being fairly evaluated for my qualifications or judged for other reasons.Its frustrating to invest time and money into an opportunity, only to have the expectations change at the last minute and the company fail to honor their commitments. If leadership skills were a key requirement, they should have been transparent about it from the start. And if they promised full reimbursement, they should have followed through.For future candidates, I highly recommend getting everything in writing and clarifying all expectations upfront. This experience left me with a very negative impression of the companys professionalism, communication, and integrity.
