    Serious problem with cataract surgery in left eye starting right after the surgery. The clinic has put negative information on my chart because I continue to complain about the procedure and information I received about the procedure. Today I called to get an emergency appointment because of severe pain in left eye and lack of vision. The office staff was abusive and rude because of the negative information that they have available from my chart. The people that I spoke to refused to listen to my request and to let me speak to a supervisor. The only reason I go back to that facility is because I dont want to pay out additional money for corrections to the original cataract surgery that they performed.

    We are writing in response to a recent complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) by a former patient of our practice. We take all feedback seriously and always strive to provide the highest level of care and professionalism to every individual we serve.  

    In this particular case, the patient in question was seen in our office on 4/21/25 for an emergency exam. A comprehensive ophthalmic health evaluation was conducted, and although no significant findings were discovered during this visit, all appropriate clinical procedures were followed in accordance with standard care guidelines. The patient was informed of the results and released from our clinical care in a proper and professional manner.  

    It is important to note that the patient has a documented history of unprofessional and discourteous behavior toward both our clinical and administrative staff. She was previously discharged by another provider in our practice due to consistent confrontational interactions, which significantly hindered the ability to deliver effective care. In an effort to support continuity of care, the decision was made to offer her the opportunity to see another provider within the practice prior to considering dismissal from the practice entirely.  

    At this time, the patient is no longer under our regular care and is only eligible to be seen for emergency services, which aligns with our policies and the best interests of our staff and other patients.  

    We believe the review filed is not an accurate representation of the care provided and appears to be based on dissatisfaction unrelated to the clinical quality of our services. We respectfully request that the BBB take this context into consideration in their review of the complaint.
