      Subject: Horrific Experience with Pets at Peace A Warning to Others On Monday, March 17th, we lost our beloved family dog after she was hit by a speeding car. Devastated, we took her to Pets at Peace located at *************************** in ******, ********, trusting them to handle her cremation and memorial. We paid for the services, and the owner, ****, assured us that our dog would be placed in the freezer right away and ready for pickup by Friday, March 21st.However, I never received the promised call on Friday, so I tried contacting **** several times on both Friday and Saturday but received no response. Finally, on Monday morning, **** answered and explained that he had to pick up the engraving plates for the wooden urn box. On Tuesday, he called me to let me know our dog was ready and asked what time I would arrive. I told him Id be there by 4:30 PM or a little earlier.When I arrived at the facility, I called **** twice, but again, there was no response. I knocked on the door with no answer, so I decided to look around the property. Thats when I saw my dog in a wagon, bloated and covered in flies. (I have photos if needed.) This confirmed that she had never been placed in the freezer as promised.I immediately tried calling **** again with no answer. At this point, I called my husband, who was on his way, and he told me to call the police. I did, but they informed me they could not do anything. My husband then arrived and called ****, and this time, **** answered immediately. He claimed he couldnt find my phone number and was "on his way."Ten minutes later, **** arrived, and my husband asked him if our dog was ready. **** responded by saying he had "the wrong dog" and offered to have her cremated the following day. At this point, I had enough. I demanded a full refund and told him to give me my money back. Thankfully, he did return the money, but the damage had already been done.
