Hi,Some parts happened in '22 & '23, but issue came to head last year In 2022, my '99 ***** had trouble staying started. I called ***** of Shamrock Tire & Auto. He brought my car to shop. After inspection, I was told of issue with the part that starts car; it intertwined with my ac/heat compressor & needed replacing. The cost to repair this starter along with putting AC compressor back, was more than I could. The mechanic (*******) refused to put the ac/heat compressor back in without payment. ***** asked if he could at least fix the starter & leave the compressor off, until I could pay later. The mechanic agreed. My ac/heat worked before he took ******** 2023, I decided to get AC/Heat on my '99 ***** back on to sell it. I told *********** said that the **/heat working again would increase the resale. I took my car back to Shamrock. Mechanic, *****, said he'd get fix. After leaving my car with ***** in July or August of '23, months went by with no updates. I called the shop in Oct. '23, *************** ****** said it was being fixed In November '23 both ************** called me & said that AC/Heat working again. On November 1, 2023, I paid $634.33 from debit card for my car (see photo). After driving a short distance, my ac/heat was not fixed. I went back. ***** admitted it wasn't quite fixed. ***** told me to leave the car & that he'd fix. From this day until 2024, I receivedno consistent updates, after they held my funds for nearly a year without fixing my car, On August6th 2024, Iasked for a refund, until they ac fixed ac/heat. I received refund. ****** said ***** got the part to fix the ac/heat. The next call I got on (Sep '24) I was told that the owner **** ***** wanted my car removed - it wasn't fixed. I spoke with the owner & told him I lost money letting it sit for over a year. I told him ac/heat was fixed before, he said there was nothing he was willing to do to fix ***** car is still sitting there, ac/heat unfixed, though it wasfixed before.

We did try and repair the vehicle, but with the age of the vehicle, parts were not available through aftermarket anymore.  Eddie, on his own time, went to multiple salvage yards to try and locate the parts needed numerous times, to no avail.  When she was informed Eddie was working on it or attempting to repair it was because Eddie thought he had located a working used/salvage part.  But again they were nonoperational.  Once all of our attempts to repair were exhausted we refunded all monies paid and told her we could do nothing more.  To us the car was unrepairable because replacement parts could not be located.  After we refunded the monies we were informed by the owner of the vehicle she had no where to have it transported to and it was left here for many more months with no storage fee added.

I am sorry we could not repair the vehicle, we just could not locate the parts to do so.

I am rejecting this response because:  My response: My AC/Heat was working prior to putting my car into Shamrock Tire & Auto in 2022. Are you, Greg Sicka, denying that my AC/Heat was working prior to getting the starter repaired in 2022? Can you also provide me the date that Eddie went to look for the part? When I kept calling for updates, Eddie simply said, "When the weather gets better, I'll go look for the part at the salvage yard." After telling me this, Eddie NEVER followed up with me to inform me he went to look. in 2024, Daniel said Eddir got the park & it'd be fixed soon. You guys have disappointed me greatly. You've lied & operated with a lack of integrity. You guys held my car & funds hostage for over a year- you didn't offer a refund, I had to request a refund nearly a year later- when I got my money back you guys then immediately asked me to remove my vehicle, after I waited in limbo for a year. Everything that you're telling me now about my car not being able to have the AC/Heat fixed due to the age was only said AFTER I asked for a refund. Up to that point, every time I called for an update, I was told Eddie was working on it. And I know you are NOT charging storage fees- my car sat there for a YEAR, let that sink in. 365 days with no answer of removing it, until after I asked for a refund. How convenient. I should be charging YOU storage fees for letting my car sit for a year. With my car's age (as you say), having it sit for a YEAR within direct sunlight & without starting it, has probably affected the exterior & integrity of the battery. Respectfully, your sorrys mean nothing to me, as you allowed your employee to give a loyal customer the runaround for a year- and now you're saying I should deal with your inconvenience? You are responsible for this Mr. Sicka- if your daughter was dealt with this way- you wouldn't take the outcome you're giving to me. Again, I'm asking that my car be put back in the condition it was when the AC/Heat was working & I'm asking for money it cost me to pay for insurance as I let it sit. If you're claiming that a 99 Lexus is unable to have working AC/Heat due to the age, if I'm able to find the part, are you able to fix it, since that is the reasoning you're giving? Again, my AC/Heat was operable before it was disconnected at YOUR shop. What part are you claiming you can't find??

      Greetings,

Here is my second attempt at response to the businesse's response:

I have not reached a solution with the business. When I brought my car into the businesse's 21st location, my AC/heat was operable & working. The original mechanic, Richard disconnected it, as the starter was intertwined with the compressor. In order to fix the started that needed repair, the AC/Heat had to be disconnected in order to get to starter. Richard, wanted to charge me double for not only repairing the starter, but for reconnecting the AC compressor in order to get to the starter. At that time, I could not afford to both pay for the starter repair & for him to reconnect the AC compressor that was already operable. So Richard refused to reconnect the compressor without additional payment- & only repaired the starter without putting my compressor back on.

When I got enough money (a little over $600) to get the AC/Heat back on in 2023, I took my car BACK to Shamrock Tire & Auto to get my AC/Heat that Richard disconected, turned BACK ON.

I brought my car to the 51st Street location on about July or August of 2023. Mechanic Eddie inspected the AC & said he could get it back on. I left it there with not many updates from Eddie. Months later Eddie & Daniel called me and told me AC/Heat was fixed- so I paid a little over $600 to get my car, as the attached receipt shows.

Side bar: If Gregg Sicka or whomever is responding on the businesses behalf, is claiming that Eddie was NEVER able to the part to repair the AC/Heat that Shamkrock employee Richard took apart, then why was I told it was repaired by two seasoned employees (Daniel & Eddie) in November 2023, as my receipt shows I paid for these supposed repairs. That is deceptive practice to tell me it was fixed, and that part was found.

Afier I realized my car was NOT fixed- I immediately turned around- Eddie acknowledge that "It wasn't really fixed", and told me to leave it there, and he'd look fo the part to fix. Daniel nor Eddie offered my funds back for services NOT rendered. I didn't get a full refund until I ASKED FOR MY FUNDS BACK in about Oct. 2024. Daniel agreed to refund me (at my request) as I waited for repair, instead of my funds being held any longer. Daniel said Eddie got the part finally.

This never occured, after I got my money back (after Shamorck had payment for a year) employee Pat called me about a month after I got my money, and told me owner Gregg wanted my car OFF his property & that the disconnecting of my AC/Heat by his employee Richard, would not be repairded. I was shocked, so I emailed Sicka in Sep .2024. He gave the same mixed answers as his employees did. Please see screenshot of Greggs responses- in Gregg's responses, he claims that Daniel NEVER told me Eddie had got the part to fix my car & then later on Gregg does admit that Daniel did tell me Eddie got the part. This type of duplicitous reponse from the owner, is the type of conflicting onteractions I had with his employees over the course of a year that my car was held hostage.

My hands are clean- the sheer FACT that I paid (see receipt) over $600 proves that I paid for repairs I thought (becuase I was told by Eddie & Daniel) were fixed.

I would like for Gregg to tell me the name of the part that his Mechanic Richard disconnected, that resulted in my AC/Heat no longer working & the part he claims Eddie can't find.

If i have to have another shop fix what his employee unrepaired job, I need to know what to look for.

Additionally, this situation has inconvenienceed me greatly. I have taken my car to their Shop over the course of a decade. If Gregg is not willing to fix what his mechanic took apart, then I would like to charge Shamorck storage fees for holding my car for a year. Every time I called over the course of that year- I was told Eddie is working on it, NEVER did anyone tell me that my car was to be removed over that course of a year, until a month after I asked for my refund back. I've gotten car storage quotes from car storage venders in Tulsa. See attached.
