      ****************** moved our site from go daddy to this Hostwinds without my permission, did not provide me with any credentials and then disappeared. With research I located Hostwinds who first claimed they were not hosting the website. When I showed them the ** address that belonged to them then they said they couldnt help me without login credentials. I explained again that their reseller was defunct. The website is down and they refuse to fix the problem because I dont have the credentials. Getting help was like running in circles with absolutely no resolution. Just like their reseller they use generic names and just fail to do anything to help. STAY AWAY.

      SUBSCRIPTION FRAUD !!!! DESPITE CANCELLING MY SUBSCRPTION ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO, THEY KEPT CHARGING ME CONSTANTLY MONTHS AFTER MONTHS THOUGH I DELETED THE INSTANCE 6-7 MONTHS AGO AND AS MUCH AS I CAN REMEBER I WAS HAVING ISSUES SOMEWHERE. HENCE I OPENED SUPPORT TICKET AND ASKED TO DELETE EVERYTHING. AND BEING A ONE MAN PERSON IN MY BUSINESS I TEMPORARILY MOVED ON TO OTHER THINGS WHILE HOPING THAT TEAM WILL TAKE CARE OF IT PROVIDED THAT I'VE BEEN GIVING THEM MY EXCLUSIVE CONSENT. THE NEXT MONTH I SEE A REMINDER DIRECTLY ON MY BANK STATEMENT AS A FINAL CHARGE. NO EMAIL REMINDERS, NO NOTIFICATIONS OF THE COMING SUBSCRIPTION, DIRECTLY A CHARGE. SO I WROTE AN EMAIL BACK TO TEAM TO KINDLY TAKE ACTION AND STOP THESE CHARGES, TO WHICH THEY CREATED TICKET AND STILL DIDN'T DELETED WHOLE THING( DESPITE ME ASKING THIS WHOLE TIME ON LIVE CHAT AS WLL AS TICKETS) BUT RATHER LEFT A FEW MICRO SERVICES LIKE SNAPSHOTS ETC TO BE DELETED MANUALLY BY MYSELF (WHICH IS WHERE I WAS HAVING ISSUES).AND FOR THE LEFT OF THE MONTHS I'VE BEEN ASKING TO DO IT FOR ME. AFTER 3-4 MONTHS AND MORE CHARGES ACCUMULATED, SOMEONE FINALLY CREATED SUPPORT TICKET AND ASSURED ME OF MY REFUND FOR ALL THESE SHADY CHARGES. I REPLIED TO THE TICKET AND MOVED ON TO WORK BEING BUSY. MEANWHILE SOMEONE ELSE FROM BILLING REPLIED IN THE TICKET ASKING FOR CONSENT AGAIN( TO WHICH I MISSED REPLYING SINCE I ALREADY REPLIED) SURPRISINGLY THEY CLOSED TICKET WITHOUT REFUND. AND TILL YESTERDAY I HAD STOPPED A FEW GHOST SERVICES AGAIN AND ASKED FOR REFUND. THEY REFUNDING NOW ONLY ONE MONTH CHARGE AND ENFORCING THEIR POLICY. I'VE EVIDENCE OF ME ASKING THEM TO DELETE/STOP EVERYTHING ON EVERY INTERACTION.. RATHER THAN TAKING CARE OF EVERYTHING ON ONE SINGLE TICKET THEY KEPT ME THROWING HERE AND THERE YET THEY KEPT ME IN LOOP FOR THIS LONG AND KEPT CHARGING ME NOT REFUNDING AND ENFORCING THEIR POLICY IS A TYPICAL "SUBSCRIPTION FRAUD" RUNNING ALONGSIDE LEGIT BUSINESS TO YEILD THE CHERRY ON TOP. HOSTWIND IS SUBSCRIPTION FRAUD.

      I read a number of reviews regarding white label web hosting services where Hostwinds ranked in the middle or near the end of the pack. Hostwinds was touted as having customer friendly pricing and excellent for beginning resellers. Since some of the reviewers are well known technology information sources, decided to give them a try. Signing up, was awkward or kludgy. A chat box aid helped, directing me to the ticketing system which was fairly responsive. After selecting the reseller plan, tech support offered to help me port my website over. This was surprising and not mentioned as a prerequisite for the reseller program, but I complied by dumping an html copy of my website to a specified directory. I was given some credentials and a url link for documentation. It was at this point that my frustration level began to increase. This effort was not intuitive and I am a website developer. The documentation seemed disjointed and never smoothly guided me through the next steps. Coming from Godaddy, where documentation and customer support is generally very good, the only thing I found good with Hostwinds is there response in the ticketing system. I would ask for assistance from individuals through the chat box but the frontline support often would direct me to the ticketing system along with another piece of documentation that did not fully address my issues. Finally at wits end, I began calling a support number. And although I called during their business hours, the phone service would pass me around through voice prompts and eventually hang up. After weeks of this and the lack of speed getting into the products creation section, I finally found the instructions to cancel the service and ask for my money back. I had spent weeks and had not successfully set up the reseller features or product offerings. Hostwinds was one of the most disappointing undertakings I've experienced in some time. Great price but not worth the aggravation and time lost.

      I purchased what they advertise as a White label business package only for it not to be white-label. Nothing about their service in the last 5 days since my purchase is within my experience, you can not convince me this is a company based in the US as their substandard comprehension of the English language. As an example, it took me 44 emails for them to actually address my simple question of getting a path line to my root directory in order to forward my GoDaddy domain. I can show 30 out of 44 emails asking me repeatedly what I'm even asking for, yet every reply to my requested link starts with a / file directory and THIS is how the technical dept handled my one request lol, I wish I was making this up. When I asked how to avoid having any of their links to their CS and so-called technical so that it was a REAL white label package that I paid for, the ticket was escalated to their "top technician" to resolve. Only to have this so-called top technician blame my "confusion" regarding what a white-label package was. I strongly URGE anyone who thinks this is a real company that is US-based to get proof as their English alone clearly illustrates this. I have yet to get a direct reply to my numerous requests for a refund and have not been able to get any straight answer from them other than since my CRM requires MariaDB ver 1 minimum to run that is also my problem to resolve as they cannot provide me that version. So PLEASE if you wish to be gaslit or plain out repeatedly LIED TO and insulted, I would RUN from them. They have no clue what a direct answer is and have no problem taking your money while giving you nothing but a headache for any patience you may give to their substandard English comprehension. And please contact your bank to block any further charges as they clearly have no intentions of giving a refund or canceling the service and THAT is normal business practice for them.
