Amped came and did a great Job with a re-pipe of water lines in my home. ***** commutated with me throughout the process, and made me aware of any hiccups along the way. I was impressed by the professionalism of even the younger guys on the job Ashton and Byron. I would recommend Amped to anyone for any size job.

Amped Home Services told me all my gas lines in my house and yard needed replaced and that it would cost $12.550.00. I have a rather large backyard and I thought that it would be expensive to dig up and lay a new gas line. I gave them $4,000 and signed an IPad they said was needed to start the work. The next day Amped told me they would get ONG to replace the gas line in the yard so I immediately asked Amped to deduct that from their estimate as that was the main reason I signed the IPad and they Refused. Amped also charged me for a water heater they said was free if I immediately signed the IPad. Amped then gave me a document which they copied and pasted my signature from the IPad for $12,550.00. I called the owner *** ****** and told him about not replacing the gas line in the yard and he gave me another document that I never signed or agreed to and deducted $1,971.75 from their original $12,550.00 estimate because I was upset and then conveniently added only pipe from the exterior of my house to the inside to this new document after I complained about the pipeline in the backyard. Amped replaced approximately 25’ of gas pipe under my house and vented the water heater and charged me $10,578.25. A small claims court judge told me Amped had a valid, if irregular, contract and that I owed Amped $10,578.25. I want other people to know my story as Amped has an A+ BBB rating and I don’t want other people, especially seniors, to make my mistake. If I hadn’t been old and very sick I would have noticed several red flags. I don’t think this is fair or ethical even if the law allows Amped to give me false information about replacing the gas line in my yard to get my signature on an IPad and then copy and paste this Ipad signature to other documents that I never signed or agreed to. I also want to let my state representative, ***** ****, know that we need a law to protect people who are unaware that companies can do this. “Many people have had bad experiences with Amped but are afraid to speak out and I understand why. When I first spoke out on Nextdoor, a social media site, and commented about Amped’s business practices I received a letter from their attorney, **** ********, asking me to immediately remove my “untrue statements” on Nextdoor.  My statements were true but I removed them because I was intimidated. This is the way Amped shuts down negative reviews and probably why they have an A+ rating from the BBB.  Now I think it is my moral and civic duty to let people know the truth about Amped even at a personal risk to me.” I have attached a picture of the letter I received from their attorney but it is at the end of this page.  Thank you again, ******

    Hello Mrs. *****,
We previously addressed this matter in small claims court, where the judge ruled in our favor. All work performed was clearly communicated to you and approved with your signature.
As part of the service, we provided a temporary electric heater for your home, replaced your water heater, and re-piped the gas lines beneath your house due to multiple leaks and deteriorated conditions. We also coordinated with ONG to relocate the gas meter closer to the house and eliminate the yard line—at no additional cost to you. The work was completed to code and passed all city inspections.
Despite these efforts, you have continued to make excuses to avoid settling your outstanding balance. We conducted ourselves with full transparency and integrity throughout this process, as affirmed by the court. We respectfully ask that you refrain from making defamatory statements and take responsibility for your financial obligations.

A small claims court judge ruled Amped had an irregular but valid contract even thought they lied to me about replacing the gas line in my backyard to get my signature on an IPad. I have been told by an attorney that I need to file a police report as it is a felony to obtain a signature on an estimate using false information and then call it a contract. I am willing to testify in criminal court about Ampeds deception in obtaining my signature. Amped keeps refusing to accept a fair and reasonable settlement for work they did. Amped statement that the work was clearly communicated to me and approved with my signature is also not true. They did not clearly communicate the work to me and they copied and pasted my signature to documents I never signed or agreed too. The major part of the work was done by ONG for free. Amped keeps talking about a small broken space heater that they loaned me for one night, that I didnt even use, like this was a big deal. Amped employee ****** ****** told me he would throw in a free water heater if I signed the **** to start the work. I have a screen shot off their site stating the water heater was free.and they charged me for it anyway. ****** did not identify any gas leaks under my house or in my yard and the pipes under my home were not deterioted. I know because I checked them every year. . ****** did not do a proper gas test and only identified a gas connection leak in the house that I knew about and used soap and water to identify a leak on a connection in the garage. ****** said he was going to replace the gas line in my yard but instead he got ONG to do it for free but Amped wouldnt deduct that cost from their estimate. I did not want the gas meter right by my backdoor and I told ****** in no uncertain terms that I didnt want the gas meter there. Its there now anyway and I dont like it. Warr Acres checked that the gas lines that ****** installed and they did hold gas but they didnt check anywhere else. *** left me a code violation for a gas connection ****** made inside my home. I have paid Amped $4,000 and they have placed a $ ******** lien on my home ** * **** ** *********** ******** Amped does not conduct their business with transparency or integrity. My telling the truth about their business practices is not defamatory. The misinformation and deception owner *** ****** and employee ****** ****** have told me is mind boggling. I want to warn other people about Amped so they wont make the mistake I made when I signed the **** thinking I was dealing with an honest company because they had an A+ BBB rating.
