    I paid a local contractor on 2/15/24 to buy the metal for a tractor barn to be constructed on my property. As of today, 8/21/24, I still do not have the metal for a tractor barn. He admitted to me and others that he had used the money I gave him on something else. He won’t say what.
    I have listened to verbal promises to “make things right” for six months with no follow-through.
    I have equipment sitting out in the weather because he failed to buy or build my barn.
    I have had to store tools at neighbors because he failed to buy or build my barn.
    I have asked him to return my money and walk away. He has refused to repay my money so far.

    We are in the process of resolving it with the sheriffs dep. customer won’t accept material. So we are trying to find a way to resolve this with the customer promptly

    I am rejecting this response because:

    To be clear, there is no material for me to accept. I paid the contractor in February 2024, he never bought the material. Six months later, he still has not bought the material. If he gets the money together to buy material, I am requesting my money back. I will then find a contractor who follows through with his promises.
