On 9/23 I paid $100 for 12 square feet of M.E.S.A mat sound deadening. When I checked I saw that they have installed a brand called ballistic sound deadening instead of the the ******** I paid for the M.E.S.A but received a lesser product at the same price. The product wasnt adequately installed to the manufacturers specifications as well. It needs complete adherence but it was simply thrown on flat and not shaped to the metal. All the access bolts to the window mechanisms are covered and they covered up the window motor with deadener so it cant be accessed and can overheat/ trap moisture. The crossovers they installed arent accessible which is required by the manufacturer specifications. The way they installed my amp goes against manufacturer specs. (Upside down against bare metal with long screws). The door panel was altered with glue and cannot be taken off anymore.

On The clients invoice shows the Ballistic sound deadener. When discussing sound deadner I never promised any specific brand. I only said he would have a single layer installed in each front door. I didnt give him a lesser product. The confusion lies in his estimate. At the time of estimate shows a different part number. Even during the installation I sent him over a picture of the sound deadner that he paid for installed on his doors. He was only charged for the job that was done. I told him over the phone that the sound deadner was on the outside of the metal not the inside. He didnt pay to have that done. Saying he received a lesser product is not true and how it was installed is what he paid for. It wasnt installed incorrectly. we have been doing sounddeadning in vehicles for many years we have never had a complaint.

As far as the door speaker cross overs there is no reason for them to be accessible. They are on the area of the door as 90% of our installation is done. The crossovers are inline to the speakers. No reason not  to have them in the door. We do not make cross overs accessible, especially ones that are made to go inline with the mid and tweeter speakers.

as far as his amp goes, there is nothing incorrect with the installation.

****** came in and I asked him as many questions to understand his needs and wants. We worked with his budget. After he paid and received his car back I received a negative ****** review from him about 2 weeks after the work was done. I responded to his review saying I cant address an issue if its not brought to my attention. He did call and stopped by a few days later. He did come back a couple of times for a rattle in his passenger door. We swapped out the speaker incase it was an intermittent issue. He called and said he still had a rattle. So we got him back in again, added additional sound deadner to help stop the rattle. The vehicle is over 10 years old and when adding aftermarket audio equipment there is a chance of rattles. Unfortunately it happens. He came back a 3rd time complaining about the amplifier installation. Before we finalized the placement of his amplifier, we had told him that there was no room under either seat to install it. He was oaky with us mounting it to the floor of his hatch area, but I didnt like that due to it being susceptible to damage so it was mounted to his rear deck and was told before installing and he agreed. His 3rd time back he had a complaint that we installed the amp on a bolt and damaged the amp. We scheduled him an appointment built a tray around the new amp so it wasnt against metal. After removing the 1st installed amplifier we discovered that there was no damage at all, the bolt was right next to it, not pushing in to it, but only next to it, but still installed the new amp like we said. We have listened to his complaints, we have never denied him any service. He went to another shop and had a box built and even the guy who did the work let me know that our install looked good.

I am rejecting this response because:

while I was incorrect about the sound deadening the rest of what hes saying is a deflection. The crossovers are covered in sound deadening material which is super uncommon and borderline unsafe. The amp regardless of it was damaged when they took it out wasnt installed incorrectly. they did a hack job on the tweeters.
