      Renaissance Roofing installed an asphalt roof, ventilation, and gutters. Job completed Mid April 2024. Paid in full $27,262.00. At the end of Dec 2024 we noticed water running down the siding on the outside of our house. After inspection from multiple companies, roofers, home inspectors, contractors, ventilation exporters, they all said the same thing "improper installation of roof and venting, unbalanced ventilation system causing excessive condensation in attic". Intake vents on or below warm wall, ridge vent not cut properly, baffling not installed properly, other side of house ridge vents put in but should not have been. As a result all installation in attic is ruined, soaked, mold over everything. Roof needs to be replaced, venting needs to be put in properly, mold needs to be remediate , plywood needs to be replaced, all installation needs to be removed and replaced.

      Three years ago, when bidding our job, the Renaissance authorized agent told us that the upgraded material was made to prevent ****. He said that if **** appeared all we had to do is call the company and the **** would be removed at no cost to us. Based on this, we paid the extra for the upgraded material. We now have **** and we contacted the company about getting the **** removed. The company denies that there is any warranty regarding **** and denies any responsibility. Specifically, they wrote in the email the following: "I really do apologize for how communicated your warranty to you when selling the job. All of the warranty information on Ultra HD shingles through GAF is publicly available if further clarification is needed ********************************************************** "I cant give an accurate reason why mislead you into believing we would have a warranty on ****. **** growth on roofs can vary depending on the tree coverage and type of trees you have around your home, therefore we could never make a guarantee on ****, nor would any other roofing company in their right mind warranty ****. We strive for honesty and accuracy when estimating homes, and that is how our estimators are trained. What estimators choose to say is beyond our control and cannot be corrected unless it is brought to our attention by homeowners like yourself. We do our best to hire the right people for the position and provide them with the necessary GAF training to avoid miscommunication, but like many workplaces, sometimes a bad apple can slip through the cracks. If I was giving the benefit of the doubt, the best answer I could give you is he simply didnt know the difference between algae and **** and assumed they were the same.

      Please accept our apologies for the way this has gone. We don't want our customers to feel ignored. That said, there is no warranty against **** accumulation, either from the manufacturer (GAF) or from Renaissance Roofing, **** The salesperson on this job was ***********************, and if he told you that this would prevent **** accumulation, he lied to you to get the contract signed. He no longer works for Renaissance Roofing, **** While we maintain that there is no warranty against **** accumulation, we do feel that in this situation, because of the way it has gone, it is fair for us to provide the requested **** removal and treatment. Please understand that this is a one-time fix, and subsequent **** treatment will be billed for. **** removal and treatment is better done when we have less rain, so it would make sense for us to do this in March of 2023. Please let us know if you would like us to proceed with this.
