We had Roth Heating and Cooling come out to check on our air conditioner, which had stopped working, and to check on the furnace also, which I said "may" have turned on when it should not have. The technician checked both the ** and the furnace, took pictures of what he described as possible issues, and suggested that both systems be repaired or replaced. His estimate for repair came to $15,498. The account manager's estimate for replacement of the entire system ranged from $17,439 to $22,884. We mentioned these prices to a friend, who told us to first check out the ** capacitor, which we did, and discovered it was bad. Our son found an exact replacement online for $32. We ordered it, installed it, and the problem was solved. Everything has worked perfectly ever since.If this is not a textbook example of bilking unsuspecting customers I can't think of a better example. DO NOT call these people - they will rip you off! Also, I could not file this review without giving them at least one star, but they don't deserve even that.

************************, I am sorry that you feel this way. Our goal is always to set up the customer for the long term. On every call we do a full diagnostic of both systems to locate anything that is not working to their full capacity. In you case, there are multiple parts within the ** and Furnace including control boards and evaporator coils that were nearing the end of their life. It's our experts opinion that the best course of action for long-term comfort was to replace with a larger, more energy efficient system. Simple small parts will always be found online cheaper, but there is no guarantee that these work for the foreseeable future. We want to stand by our work and unfortunately will never recommend a "Band-Aid" fix of sorts. We are glad your system is working and appreciate your feedback.Review fromRobert H
