I was apart of the Kolici vs Montway class action lawsuit. They sent me the claim form during Christmas and New Years of 2022. I was confused why it took so long in the first place so I emailed the administrator for the forms to me sent to me again. I received the forms the day before the settlement deadline, mailed the forms the very next day. I took pictures of the letter, the postage dates on the envelope, and wrote them a letter explaining that there was no way for me to get the forms in on time due to them mailing them between Christmas and New Years Day. I still havent heard anything back from the Settlement Administration or the Attorney in this case. Should I contact the bar association?

I have been dealing with the "Kia ****** Class Settlement" team for several months and as I go further in the process I am feeling as if I'm being "gamed". Essentially, you submit paperwork and corroborating information outlining that you paid money for a repair that was subsequently classified as a recall. I've submitted paperwork to them three times only for them to come back a month later and ask for the same paperwork. This time, they were looking for a "detailed invoice" ..which Ive submitted several times now. With the second submission they requested I provide contact information from the qualified Kia ********** I worked with in the event they need more in depth information. You would think instead of sending me yet another letter stating they need this information, they would have already attempted to reach out to the Kia ********** if the invoice I provided wasn't sufficient. I Asked them this same question and they indicated that they had not reached out.To me, this seem like they are guessing by sending letters asking you to fulfill a request within a specific timeframe ( 30 days) over and over again, they hope that many of us who have already been approved to receive reimbursement will overlook the mailer, miss the deadline and therefore forfeit reimbursement.Tactics like this are not only underhanded but make the consumer mistrust legitimate businesses. This type of practice has to stop.
