    We had this company do asphalt driving and seal existing asphalt. They did not perform several job duties discussed in contract including appropriate prep work and fixes to current asphalt. They also did not lay the asphalt to the thickness agreed upon. Several months after completion, asphalt quickly crumbled and cracked. The seal came off also within several months. We have been trying to contact the company ever since. Initially they would respond or answer and always had an excuse for why they could not get out to address. Lately there has been no contact and no response.

    I made a down payment with an asphalt contractor who pretended to be licensed and insured. They failed to complete the project, and the work they did was completely unsatisfactory, which I had confirmed by another contractor. I refused to pay until I had the work inspected. Unbeknownst to me, the company had stored my credit card information, which they then began charging in multiple amounts to see how much they could charge before it declined. They made a charge of $5,000 and then $1,000 in the same day. I immediately reported the fraud to my credit card company and stopped another $1,000 charge from happening. Unfortunately, the credit card company (***** Fargo) is claiming that the charge was not fraud because I had given them by card number previously (for the down payment). Now the contractor is refusing to give the money back to ***** Fargo, and I'm afraid I will be on the hook for the charges. I have been told the entire driveway needs to be removed and repaved, and I am out over $14,000 dollars to date.
