      NOTE: Moving services were jointly procured by my *********** The payment that was made to Budget Movers was made by my mother, but the damaged property is mine, and the services were procured jointly.Prior to filing this complaint (and importantly relevant to the very nature of this complaint) I had originally written a review of Budget Movers regarding my experiences with them. Of course, given where we are, my review was not positive. In my review I had suggested that Budget Movers had a hand in influencing their ratings (for a variety of reasons & not just out of vengeance), and when Budget Movers counter-claimed my own (very in-depth) review was fake, they basically proved my original point. I as a customer was sharing my bad experience and trying to raise the warning bell to other consumers, so if Budget Movers is gonna try discredit these efforts of mine, I'm not going to let that pass.My original complaint spent some time detailing the bad general service I had encountered, but most relevant to this complaint is that some items were damaged by the *********************** *** was basically made to sign a waiver saying my things were ok before being given the opportunity to glance at my things in a more-than-cursory fashion.I was told that in order for the movers to leave and for the billing period to end, I had to sign the waiver. The movers were HOURS behind schedule, & so the movers were placing a significant amount of pressure on me to sign the waiver so that they could go home, again taking the monetary angle that I'd be charged overtime. Given certain scheduling factors affected by Budget Movers' tardiness, my move almost didn't happen that day, and I'd have been liable for another month of rent as my move would need to be rearranged. I had to abridge things here to fit into the character limit, but Budget Movers damaged my items & created a high stress situation trapping me into saying otherwise before the truth could be reasonably ascertained.

      We conduct relocation services for the great people of the Portland Metropolitan area and beyond, extending to the entire **********. 

      At absolutely no point in the formation or execution of our business responsibilities and duties did we set out to utilize *ANY* unethical practices.

      We are a small, local, family owned business. Not some corportate giant or national van line and we rely heavily on feedback from our customers.

      At NO TIME were we notified of this negative experience that supposedly occurred and I'm not sure what the intent of a customer is to slander our name online without first reaching out to our office for potential reconciliation.

      As such, we assumed the review to be fake, as we have had competitors' get busted for sabotaging our hard-earned 5 star reputation.

      We still welcome a phone call or email from this supposed customer in order to deal with things instead of immaturely airing alleged dirty laundry online.

      WE EARNED EVERY LAST ONE OF OUR REVIEWS AND DO NOT BUY REVIEWS. 

      The accusation that we would engage in unethical practices is frankly absolutely unacceptable and I forgive this person for their complete ignorance of who we are.

      I don't wish harm on them at all and am grateful for their patronage. We forgive their slanderous untruths and hope that if they run a service business at any point in their life, they do not experience the same.

      Also - The BBB is not an organization that we give money to, though they have tried to extort us, and we feel people should know that a bbb accreditation is simply a pay-to-play membership.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The business makes little attempt to seriously respond to the claims I have put forward. For example, I had claimed that the movers had applied pressured me in numerous regards, and though I was not necessarily ok with what was happening, there was significant pressure to pretend otherwise. And here now, Budget Movers response boils down to "HOW DARE YOU SAY these SLANDEROUS UNTRUTHS.... you never mentioned there was any problems... we hope you find movers you love". Nothing they have responded with in any way negates, or alternatively resolves, the claims I have put forward. Budget Movers has only responded in a semi-sarcastic childish tone, without really addressing the facts of the situation. Regardless of the fact that I had made numerous attempts to ****** my displeasure with what was happening during the move and was pressured into accepting the situation as-is, the very claim I have put forward that I was the recipient of a mass amount of undue & intentionally manipulative pressure from the movers pretty much at once negates ones own ability as a customer to respond and raise issues which was entirely Budget Movers goal. So, Budget Movers need to respond to the situation, and not just make loose statements which un-comprehensively address the issues given what I have claimed has occurred.

      Please know, I fully intend on taking legal action should Budget Movers be unwilling to address the situation through this forum.
