We hired A1 Glass and Mirror, LLC, CCB #******, Invoice *****, to install custom shower doors on our remodeled bathroom at our residence at *******************************************************. They came out, did the measurements, talked about the door size and position. But then when they came to install it, they put a hole in a water line with their drill. They said I was supposed to tell them there was a water line there. It is a bathroom, there are water lines and outlets. It is a ****s house. I am not the original owner and not the builder. Why would they think I would know where water or electrical lines are. Do they not check these things before deciding where to put the holes? We believe that it is a failure of Due Diligence by A1 Glass and Mirror, LLC that caused this to happen. To make things worse, this water line goes to the exterior water bib. The A1 Glass and Mirror refuses to repair or pay for the repair. The estimated cost for getting the wall open and getting the water line cut and capped, which had to be done when the waterline was punctured, plus the repairs to get a working hose bib again on the south side of home and replacing the outside siding is $2850. If A1 has plumbers that can do the job cheaper, I am willing to discuss it. But this is clearly the fault of A1 Glass and Mirror not doing their Due Diligence.
