On Saturday 10/15/2022 Our vehicle was towed by Bend Towing and recovery. They predatorily towed our vehicle and did not follow local ordinance or laws when doing so. there was no signage posted within readable locations of our parked vehicle. They also would not accept payment via any trackable means i.e debt, credit, money order or check. They only accepted cash. When we went to pay them they did not have change to give us the difference back and robbed us of our additional money. Knowing that there is a character limitation here I would like to extend the offer to talk over the phone or follow up further in correspondence over email.

Complaintant clearly drove into the parking lot passing at least 4 signs indicating that the parking lot was shared by both ************ and ***. Signage clearly indicates vehicles parked illegally will be towed at owners expense. Bend Towing was called by ******, the maintenance and property manager for *** at around 8PM. Bend Towing responded by 8:30. Vehicle was parked in a *** parking ONLY space (see first picture from nighttime showing license of Hertz rental car in unauthorized parking space. ******* was notified the vehicle was being towed. ****** signed the tow tag. Due to bad checks, reversed credit cards, etc.. Bend Towing policy is EXACT cash upon pick up. We do not keep a cash box for change. All of this are part of the instructions when towed vehicle drivers call to retrieve. Claimant brought $360 for a $353 tow and no change was given. Bend Towing does NOT perform predatory towing. We have a few clients who request towing due to an excessive amount of illegally parked cars and *** is one of those clients. Bend Towing ONLY responds when called. Pictures from claimant the next day shows the car backed away from the curb 4-5 feet to cover up the *** painted sign under the rear. Im sorry she did not pay attention to the signs which are at all entrances to the main lot as well as both sides of the entrance she pulled into and parked. This lot is shared by the ************ and *** which is why these spaces are marked as they are. Several more photos are available upon request.

I am rejecting this response because: the parking spaces are not clearly marked. When I was called by the towing company last week, I was told the same thing. The writing on the ground has faded.. Also, the sign that is in the photo faces outward. You cannot see that sign from inside the lot. The towing company also told me ****** called in the Tow. When we called the business where we parked, we were told no one was working that weekend and they did not call to have our vehicle towed.

Our reply is the same. ******** drove past several signs that were posted no parking. The fact she didnt see them is not the issue. The painted signs being faded is again no excuse. she was parked in a no parking space. Bend towing was called to remove the vehicle and we did. Im sorry claimant doesnt understand consequences.

I am rejecting this response because:I believe I was targeted. Other reviews about this company are the same. A one star rating by most. What company only accepts cash with no change. My vehicle was a rental and held hostage. I was never given contact information regarding who called it in. Shady company.

    Sincerely,
