Date of Transaction June 23, 2022.Price for labor is attached: $260 (1st hour) + $220 (each additional hour) for labor. Estimated labor is 2.5 hours.Estimate price for materials: $227.50 Estimate price for plans/permits: $65.00 The job was completed in ***** minutes meaning the total value of labor should have been $260*1hour + $220*(0.5hours) = $370.Instead they are trying to charge me for the full 2.5 hours ($590) even though they were only here for ***** minutes. After I received this invoice I asked why they were charging me for 2.5 hours of labor when the estimate we agreed on said the labor has a fixed price with the estimate number of hours. They responded with:"Zach,I heard there was questions about how quick we were to finish your project. It was a bid. This was figured for 2.5 hours. For a journeyman and apprentice. This work was done with (2) journeyman and (1) apprentice. I promise I am not trying to cheat you. I dont use three people on the job because our hourly rates for this crew is our rate is $480.00 first hour and discount each additional hours $390.00. Labor would have been $675.00 and you were charged bid price of $590.00 plus material and permit."After receiving this response I asked them to meet me in the middle on the price difference to which they basically said no and gave me their definitions for how pricing worked. These definitions do not line up with common vernacular's definitions to those terms so I responded to that email giving the common definitions and proposing again that they meet me in the middle.I received no response afterwards despite sending several emails, voicemails, and phone calls asking for responses.I gave them a call or left them a voicemail nearly every day after not hearing a response back from my email. Finally they responded to me with a 1 minute phone call where they threatened to call an attorney and hung up on me. They haven't responded to any communication since.
