    I rented with easy storage for 10 years and I was late on my payment however I know that there is a process when auctioning off storage unit. There is a legal obligation to post or send certified notification and a 15-day time period after the first notification. I received my notification on the 11th of August stating that if I didn't pay within 7 days they would start the pre lean process. So it's starting August 18th I didn't have 15 days before my store to be auctioned on August 26th I called in to pay my bill and found out that my storage unit was actually auctioned off on August 23rd. I've been unable to contact the owner of this company the manager did admit to wrongdoing and that they had a flaw in their system. Said they were calling the people who bought my unit every day but couldn't get in touch with them. There's no compensation for the amount of heartache and loss considering my whole life was in that unit as well as my childrens personal and childhood things. I rented that unit before I moved to ****** and everything was in there safe for years I had been late many times before but cautious not to default completely the same as I was this time and I was not givin the fair chance to get my bill paid. I'm at a loss for words. I used to think this was a great storage unit facility secure the people were great honest I cannot say that anymore they have new management and unfortunately they are not aware of the legal process that goes along with auctioning off a storage unit.
