    My generators electric start quit, but would still start with pull cord. It appeared the starter solenoid had gone out. i'm in my 70s and didn't want to mess with it, so I took it to RC's., telling them I thought it was the solenoid. 2 weeks later they said it was ready for pickup. After paying $118, I asked if was in fact the solenoid. ***** said it started with the pull cord (I knew that) and that the "computer" was bad and that "was above my pay grade". I took it home and after finding no reference to a "computer" in the manual, I called ******, the maker of the generator. I explained what was wrong and what ***** had told me. The tech snickered and said the generator does not have a computer. He said that it sounds like the starter solenoid was bad. I found a replacement solenoid on Amazon for $19. I replaced the solenoid and lo and behold it started right up. I went back to RC's and asked for a partial refund since they had done nothing. I was told "sorry". No refund. They continued to insist it was the computer. I would say they are pretty poor mechanics who couldn't find/fix the problem even after the customer had told them the probable issue up front. Based on my poor experience, I would recommend you take your business elsewhere.
