      I made reservations 10/9/2023 to stay at the Rv park from November *****. I paid the full amount of ******. Today the 16th I called to cancel the reservation and was told they are keeping all the money because they have a policy that any money a customer pays in the 30 days they get to keep. I made the reservation in person and none of this was discussed with me and while I was on the phone with them to try and get my money back they sent an email trying to convince me that they get to keep the money. I have never had a business keep the money which is a lot and we are on a fixed income for a cancelled reservation. I made the reservation in person and they charged me a reservation fee which was weird also.

      Two deposits were sent to resort prior to stay for a 3 day stay 6/16/1/19/2023. We received a call at 12 noon the day of the intended stay with notice that the remodel was incomplete and we would not be able to check in at the 3 pm designated time. We were informed that the hot water heater was not working and needed to be replaced as well as missing stove part. An employee was being sent to town 30 miles away. No check in time was provided but a free coffee was offered. I requested a reduction in cost for the stay and was denied. At 4:30 after seeing how unfinished the remodel was and noticing a strong chemical smell we returned to the resort office and informed them we wished to cancel our stay due to this delay in having the cabin ready to occupy, the intolerable chemical smell, and the inconvenience of being able to cook dinner that night for our intended guests staying at the resort. They refused a refund for the 3 night stay, informing us there policy was no refunds even though this was their own fault for not having the room ready.
