My wife and I had a really disappointing experience at Premier RV **********************. We planned to camp in our Tesla, a practice wed heard was allowed at some RV sites. We checked their website, found no policy against it, selected "camper van" (the closest option), and "Tesla" as "make" / "Model Y" as "model", so there would be no confusion. We paid extra for a 50-amp site compatible with our charger.Arriving after hours, we discovered a no-car-camping policy buried in the booking confirmationnot visible before booking. Acknowledging our oversight, we respected the policy, emailed for a refund since we didnt get the 50-amp site we paid for, and stayed at a hotel instead. The next morning, we received a **** email denying a refund because we selected "camper van" despite clearly noting our Tesla. We visited in person, hoping to resolve the misunderstanding, but the front desk staff and an owner (***?) were immediately and shockingly hostile, accusing us of lying. Despite no services provided, an incompatible site, and ample vacancies that night, they refused a full refund, offering only a 50% refund, which we declined. Were now disputing the charge with our credit card.

This review is correct that we do not allow car camping, or people sleeping in their cars at our ** Resorts. Although they may have heard some campgrounds allow this, like allmost all reputable ** Resorts we do not, primarily for their own safety. This guest did not contact the resort prior to making an online reservation to see if this policy that they had "heard" "some ** sites" permit was allowed at Premier RV Resorts. Cars are not equipped with safety features such as carbon monoxide detectors, and although some electric cars allow heat/air conditioning to be used without running the engine, traditional cars do not, which makes car camping not only a hazard to the person in the car, but also a noise/odor nuisance to their neighbors. In order to ensure everyones comfort and safety we require everyone staying in the ** Resort to have an ** that is designed and manufactured as vacation accommodation.

As they also noticed and mentioned, car is not an option when making an online reservation. We list all the types of **s we accept from a drop-down menu, which are motorhome, pop-up trailer, 5th wheel, travel trailer, truck camper, camper vans, and at our ************, tents. We do not have an option for cars, or even for other, specifically to ensure people who do not have **s do not have the disappointing experience of being turned away. It is unfortunate they chose to deliberately misidentify their vehicle in order to manipulate our system into making the reservation. We can only assume this is because they had a similar experience at a previous stop in ********** (that they mentioned to our staff) where they did not accept a Tesla as a camper van.

In addition to not having a car listed as an ** option, our no car camping policy is both on our FAQ page and prominently featured in the emailed confirmation they received (as the first item following the after-hours arrival instructions). It is unfortunate they did not open and read that email until after 7:30 PM on the date of arrival although it was delivered to their email inbox immediately after they made the reservation three days earlier.

Although they state they did not use the 50-amp site they paid for, we honored the reservation and provided the services they decided not to use. The site was perfectly compatible with the equipment they stated they had when they made the reservation, a camper van.

Additionally, they did not advise us that they would not be using the site until well after business hours on the night they planned to stay, so we were even unable to offer the site to any other guest. Our cancellation policy, (which is also clearly stated in the confirmation email as well as the terms and conditions that they electronically signed prior to making the online reservation), does not allow for refunds of one-night stays that are cancelled within 14 days for precisely this reason. However, our Managers generously offered them a 50% refund as a courtesy, despite not cancelling until late in the evening of the date they planned to stay, which as they noted in thier review, they declined.

The management lies, allows theft, and has no customer service experience. They also lie on their reviews when they follow up, diswaying their customers from the truth. They wont help you if anything is stolen on their property, and they will argue and make excuses rather than act like they care.

We have never had a guest by the name of **** Sound stay at **************** location, nor at any of our other resorts.
