June 10, 2024 ************** Chittim,This office hired Jamess heating and air service to repair an air conditioning system at one of our Garden Way locations in ****** in or around August/September 2023. A Tech person from this company came and I was informed that he fixed the air conditioner in Aug/Sept 2023.In June, 2024 I had another tech ***** R form this company come to check and do the yearly service for the heating and air conditioning unit. This office was informed by the new repair tech ************, that the prior tech from Jamess heating and air conditioning to the Rental in Aug/ 2023 from the notes, had put the air conditioner unit in emergency mode, not fixing the system as this office was informed. Due to this action, the whole system needs to be replaced, ************ informed this office in the presence of the Manager and assistance manager of this office of what created the problem. This is a request for this company to replace the air conditioning unit at your cost, due to ones Tech leaving the system in emergency mode until the new tech came to service the unit about nine months later, instead of fixing the unit as this office was informed was done, by the tech in 2023. Please advise.

      Business Response

      Date: 07/09/2024

Please see the attachment for our complete coorespondence with the complainant:

Upon receiving a website contact for from the complaintant on July 5th, 2024, our representative, *************************, repsonded to the complainant, via email.  She stated that the claim that a technician placed her heatpump system into the Emergency Heat mode, thereby damaging the heatpump, was incorrect.  We have no record of a technician being at their propery during the timeframe they claim the system was switched into emergency heat.  Aside from that, regardless of who switched the system to the Emergency Heat mode, doing that would not cause the damage to the heatpump that she is claiming. The heatpump has many issues and is not repairable.

************************* has made many attempts to call P&P Property.  At one point the phone number was disconnected, and other times a message was left, with no response.  We believe that the customer is confused about what Emergency Heat mode is and what its used for.  We do not agree that we are repsonsible for damaging the heatpump, it has many malfuctioning parts but it is completely unrelated to having it run in Emergency Heat mode.  Therefore, we do not believe we are responsible for paying for repairs/replacement.
