    We found out that this company took over our internet network for our apartment without our knowledge. We found out a YEAR later. In this year our coverage has been spotty, inconsistent, and overall just awful. They have a seemingly nonexistent support line. No one answers emails or phone calls. It is some of the worst customer service I have ever received from a company. The final straw was our internet being shut off for over a week with 0 communication from the company whatsoever. Ive reached out 4 separate times with no responses or calls back. I called to cancel our service with them, still no call back.Its just ridiculous at this point.

    Emerald Broadband appreciates the opportunity to respond to this complaint.
    Emerald Broadband purchased the service contract for this property from Uprise Fiber. As part of that acquisition, we expected to receive access to the existing infrastructure, customer account records, and billing systems. Despite repeated requests, ****** refused to provide that access.
    As a result, we were unable to notify existing residents of the provider change, cannot access legacy billing accounts, and are unable to remotely deactivate ports on equipment still controlled by Uprise. These limitations continue to impact both our ability to provide service and our customers ability to resolve billing disputes.
    We have spoken directly with the complainant and advised her not to pay any further invoices from Uprise, as we cannot verify or stop those charges. Her cancellation has been formally acknowledged and documented under a support ticket.
    It is important to note that Uprises lack of cooperation has only worsened since their owner was recently charged with 31 felony counts of theft in connection with other fiber optic projects. This ongoing legal situation has made it nearly impossible to obtain any further cooperation or resolution from their organization.
    Since acquiring the contract, we have been working to rebuild and stabilize the network infrastructure at this location. That work is ongoing, and we remain committed to improving service quality and transparency going forward.
