  I had been looking to replace my 11-year-old Cub Cadet 50" riding lawn mower. The replacement cost forced me to look into the alternative of replacing the engine, deck components, belts, etc. My mower was structurally sound so the thought of rebuilding it seemed like a good idea. Repower Specialist was able to guide me through a replacement Kohler engine that not only had engineering design upgrades but an additional 1 extra horsepower! (about that extra horse later!) Another replacement concern area was the clutch mechanism that will run the belt for the mower deck. Repower works very closely with Ox Clutch. This allowed me to get the correct one for my mower. I did additional research on the engine I had by contacting Cub Cadet. This was my way of double checking the correct replacement requirements for the Repower engine. If you have the model and serial number, you can do the same. (it never hurts to double check!!!!) After receiving the engine, I was able to compare the shaft diameter and length to the original engine and it was a perfect match. Ox clutch also, perfect match to old clutch!!! The Installation went very well!! Although I'm 65, I still have good strength and get around well. A 26 horsepower Kohler engine isn't light, but I was able to handle it. (Make sure to Locktite Red the clutch bolt!!) "Fire it up time". This engine comes complete, and I do mean complete! They have been run tested from the factory and shipped ready to go. After starting it, I was amazed how much smoother it seemed to run. Oh, almost forgot, I used the old muffler, this newer engine bolted into the existing mounting holes also. It runs and cuts like a dream and I was extremely happy to have the zero turn mower back in operation. It was also nice to learn the more in depth of the workings of the mower. The benefits of this become painfully clear when you take it into a shop and the time and money it takes to get it back out of the shop!

  I had serious doubts - I was wrong. ****** walked me through tying in the engine's electrical wiring to the trencher's harness. This allowed me to locate the failed clutch relay. Great job!

  I was ready to give up on my old **** ****. The Onan started terribly and it was lacking power. I decided to give Repower Specialists a shot since it was way cheaper than trying to find a different skid steer that wasn't beat up.I do not regret my decision at all! The shipping speed was way faster than what was originally estimated. The ***** kit that they offered was very well put together! The mounting plate fit perfectly. The exhaust fit perfectly. And the well detailed instructions they supply, took all the guess work out of wiring.Now as far as price, I could have bought the same engine from somewhere else for quite a bit cheaper. But, then I would have had to fabricate the mounting plate, the entire exhaust, and figure out the differences in the *** dimensions. I have the knowledge to do all that, but I don't have the time! This is a perfect option for anyone who wants to rejuvenate equipment that is structurally sound, but has a poor power plant. Their customer service is top notch as well! I had a slight problem with the install and sent them an email. Soon after I sent it, I figured out that it was "operator error." But they were very fast to respond and offer any help that I would need.Bottom line: Do not hesitate to order a replacement engine for whatever you have from these guys! You will not regret the decision! Thank you so much!

  I cannot say enough about their customer service. I live in an area with intermittent cellular coverage. They did not let this hinder their efforts to reach me to resolve a problem I had with the tractors wiring harness.They reached out to me several days in a row to ensure the issue was resolved.The actual kit is amazing. Has all the bits and pieces to complete the repower easily.Clear and readily understood instructions.Highly recommend for the engineering put into the kit and the customer service provided
