These people have given five (5) rate increases in the last 24 months. They have spent some on painting the storage building exterior and cleaning the parking areas where they keep rv's, etc. to make the property view less offensive. However the storage building is a rat infested swamp with no climate control and rodents chewing up all your stored stuff. Rat p*** in everything you own; clothes in storage bags chewed on or nested in and ruined; mold on pretty much everything not solid metal. It's disgusting. They just bumped me to $260 with a 5th increase in this period and they won't spend .10 cents on a dehumidifier, pest control or a single thing to make their indoor storage bays sanitary, a safe atmosphere for stored goods or worth more than $100, much less the current $250 plus mandatory $10 a month insurance they provide. My monthly losses to rat damage exceed what I pay in rent. This is disgusting price gouging at it's finest, and capitalizing on people desperately in need of storage due to poor economic conditions, but unfortunately rent control laws do not apply to storage units like they do housing.
