    On February 9th, 2022 we purchased an Electrolux combination wall oven and microwave kitchen appliance from Hamiltons Appliance in *************. We made the purchase primarily because a unit that would fit our cabinetry was available for delivery, we made the purchase including, delivery, installation and disposal at a cost of $4,699.00 for the unit plus $2,99.00 for an added 5-year protection plan, total cost, $4998.00. Shortly thereafter the unit was delivered, installed, tested, and paid for in full. Everything seemed fine. However, a few days later, we discovered that none of the options on the units control panel seemed to be of much value. It started to became evident that the appliance sometimes was not working properly and sometimes not at all. We use a microwave frequently, we felt like this was an emergency and purchased a small inexpensive countertop to use until the problem could be solved. Special equipment is required to access and examine this large and very heave appliance, so we contacted Hamiltons and they apparently referred the problem to Electrolux and to ******* Appliance Repair of Gladstone to have it resolved.It has now been almost a year since our purchase and we have bought another tabletop appliance, since we have needed an oven also.During that time, we have had at least 5 repairman visits. Each time the appliance has had to be pulled from the wall and examined. Each time the repairman has had to call an expert for guidance. Always, the appliance has not been repaired but additional parts have been ordered.The bottom line is: After almost a year and paying almost $5,000.00 to Hamiltons Appliance for a product and an extended warranty, we have had to purchase two additional appliances, our household schedule has had to be altered or adjusted to fit a repair schedule, the original manufacturers warranty is all but gone, much of the extended warranty period has lapsed and we have not received a single benefit.

    Customer and I have been in communication. The customer has already been taken care of, and I explained that most of these issues were issues with another company, not **********. The service company is a completely different company. 

     

    The customer assured us that he would remove this complaint completely.
