Generally, my experience with Ron Tonkin Kia was okay. Im a first time car buyer and I was sweating bullets inside the dealership. Not knowing who to trust if anybody and unsure if I should finance or just pay for the car outright. I explained to the dealer that I was interested in figuring out a financing option but that I was also considering paying everything upfront. I signed a bunch of paperwork not really knowing what it was hoping wed get to the financing business soon. All of a sudden I signed a document and the dealer shook my hand like they do after you officially purchase a car. My heart sunk; we hadnt even discussed financing and Id agreed to buy the car? I told him I was worried about financing and he said I probably wouldnt qualify. I really wish he had told me that before I signed the dotted line. Thankfully the financing specialist who was absolutely lovely found a bank who would take a chance on me. I immediately gave that woman a hug and a thank you! She put me at ease. Shes the reason Im giving the dealership a 3 instead of a 2. The other issue was the fact that the car only had one functioning speaker. I remember turning on the radio when we test drove it and I remember it being kind of weak but I was so nervous and focused on driving and checking out all the other parts of the car to make sure they were functioning correctly. As I said, Im a first time car buyer so I could be a very easy **** for a dealer and I kinda feel like I was. At some point, somebody must have checked the car stereo and I think that should have been listed on the ad or at least told to me in person. Finally he wrote me an email a few days ago asking what my experience was with the dealership and I told him everything about the speakers & the cost to get new ones. I never heard back. Why ask if youre not even going to respond? If Id known about the speakers I would have asked for a lower price on the car. It wasnt the worst experience but not great.

I purchased a new *** in April, no problems with the salesman. Problem now, 8 months later. Due to a military transfer, I found it necessary to sell my car. I phoned and received a verbal agreement but when I went in 3 days later for the written agreement, *****, the sales manager, refused to honor the agreement. Offered me $5,000.00 less. Said I should not have been offered that price, he can't even sell the ***'s he has now. Breez a large statured man, is rude. He's great at disrespecting you, staring you down, and attempting to intimidate you. I wondering if it's because I'm a women. Only one star because I have to, this dealership doesn't deserve any. I spoke with the General Manager and apparently he sides with *****.

Not too happy with the outcome of their service. Got my dream used car haven't even made down payment yet, took to my trusted mechanic to have a looksie. Dipstick was broken off into oil tube, rear brakes at 15% makes loud noise, and front tires were a couple percent from yellow. There's absolutely no way all this happened in the 3 weeks ive had this car. Took to Breeze at dealer and he suggested my mechanic broke the dipstick into the tube to make them pay for it. He also said he trusts his mechanics that they did a pretty inspection, but if they did... they would've noticed these things. I came in to ask for help in paying these things not to pay for all of it. But help. Turns out they didn't want to, oh yeah and they're service dept left a scratch on my car before I even left the lot.
