I did a diagnostic test on my 2017 Tacoma which came back as a bad camshaft position sensor. I went and got the part to replace it and the wire harness ended up being the face value issue so I replaced that. The truck wouldnt start with the new wire harness so being nervous I would have to potentially tow it, I brought it to Gladstone Toyota after scheduling a service appointment at 8:00am.I dropped off my truck and explained what had happened and what I had already tried. They held onto my truck until 3:00pm and then called looking for permission to pull the manifold to diagnose the issue saying that alone would be over $500. (This is simply removing four bolts and is not that difficult) I simply asked if they had tried resolving the issue by simply installing the new sensor which I had left in the center console for the tech. The service rep initially was hesitant to answer and after I became more curious she assured me they had tried the new one , but after finding that did not solve the issue they had put the failing sensor back in which made zero sense to me.At that point I lost trust and told them I would come get my truck. I then found the sensor she told me they tried was untouched in the packaging in the center console. Ultimately, I took my truck to a local mechanic and they resolved the issue in a matter of an hour and a half for almost half the cost of the quote to simply pull the manifold.Long story short,Gladstone Toyota has horrible business ethics and I will never trust them again to service either of my familys Toyotas.

Okay first off hats off to ******. She tried her best to help me out. However, the experience over the last three days was a combination of dishonest mechanics, untimely solutions, and absolutely terrible communication. To keep it short, I got billed for 7 quartz of gear oil that I did not receive and charged for labor that included opening the hood and telling me I have an aftermarket intake. Uhh duh? Next, they took 12 hours to swap tires the next day and didnt bother telling me it was ready until I serial called 5 times 15 minutes before closing. Upon driving home I hear a clicking noise in my front tire. Returned for the 3rd day in row and it took them over 6 hours to figure out the counterweight on the wheel was the culprit. The manager **** needs to learn how to do his job and prioritize customers that are returning for problems they caused. I received a refund and a 10% discount thanks ******. ****, you need to reconsider your position

My review is a complaint with the service department. My family has purchased or leased several new Toyota vehicles from this dealer over the years and have noticed a high turnover in service personnel and a decline in good service. My latest experience happened today 4/16/2024. I made an appointment for an oil change, but later called back to change the time from 7:40 am to 11:00 AM the same day. When I arrived they did not have an appointment for me. I showed the service person the confirmation and he just smiled and said they could work me in if I wanted to wait for about 2 hours. So I left with a card from the alleged service manager who I sent an email with my complaint. Waiting to see if he replies. I would NOT recommend this service department for any service work if you have a choice. I have had several issues with this place besides today.

I want a new car so I started looking online. The Online price quote from Toyota of Gladstone was reasonable, so I went through all kinds of hoops to start the purchase process. It was looking good, I got a quote in writing (email) that even showed my trade in vale. Only after the final click here to approve your final deal did I see a new quote with a ****% price increase! The fine print says vehicle prices are subject to change so who even knows if that was the final final price. At that point I cut my losses. At least I didnt waste even more time driving to the dealership to have them change the price at that even later stage.Unless you enjoy getting prices in writing changed to a higher price, I would stay away from doing any online business with this business.

We would like to warn others about the unprofessional practices of the sales people at Toyota of Gladstone in Gladstone, ******.After inquiring on Oct 31st 2022 about a 2022 Corolla Hybrid we were informed that they had one with ****** miles and in excellent condition for sale at $19,990.00 We showed up today Tuesday Nov 1st. to look at the car, and yes it was in excellent condition and the price was correct: $19,990.00, we took the car for a test ride and upon our return we were approached by the saleswoman who with had contacted from the beginning who asked us how we were going to pay for the car, **** we said then she proceeded to inform us that there was a mistake in the ad the, car was actually supposed to be for sale for $29,990.00. We told her that we would not be interested at that price so she brought her crooked sales manager who said we could buy the car for $28,990.00 plus other miscellaneous fees and that would be a great deal. The bottom line is that we were induced to come to the dealership for a car at a price and once we got there, they changed the price by $10,000.00 more. This is an old trick to entice people to come in with false advertising and then hit them over the head with an inflated price.Obviously we will not be doing any more business with these people and will tell all our friends, relatives, ************************ to avoid these crooks, Shame on them!!Karma will get them, for lying to the public. Shame on them for their lack of professionalism, we know that the car market is really tight right now but that's no excuse to try to fool honest hard working people with such dirty tricks and dishonest manners. Shame on their saleslady and her quasi boss, he should learn about doing business in a proper manner .Shame on Toyota of Gladstone for employing dishonest shady people, don't do any business with them. Crooks!!
