      Gold Beach Inn is a hotel that family booked both in August and September of this year. I booked a room recently and arrived to air quality alerts, the hotel receptionist stated fires began several days prior but they failed to warn future bookings. Being a senior citizen with respiratory concerns and having my toddler with me, I was very upset during check in because I wanted to understand why wouldn't the hotel alert people on their website or email that the air quality was hazardous to visit. The room dirty as usual but appreciated because of pet friendly policy. However, I will never return again after a scam. When I checked out they sent me a bill with a different amount but secretly charged more. The only reason I found out is because I called my bank to do my routine of recent transactions. When I discovered, I kept calling the hotel but the manager was never around. My daughter involve to finally connect with him since he was not returning any calls or providing a receipt reflecting the unauthorized charges. He stated the reason for additional charge is because there was hair on the beds and he needed to do intense cleaning but did not have pictures to prove when asked. In addition, the lie he made is impossible since my pet is an escape artist and was on a leash the entire time in bathroom area preventing access to the carpeted area. With a toddler opening doors constantly I could not take the risk to lose my pet in one of those spontaneous behavior. When I explained situation how I need proof since that was impossible, he said I do not take pictures and I don't owe you any. Furthermore, I responded, this is scary for me, you provided a complete different charge in writing and my bank states otherwise, I may need to get BBB involved. He responded, "Do it and I will call the police". Furthermore, while checking social media reviews, he has several negative ratings of what previous customers call "scam charges". This business needs to get investigated.
