On august 13th my truck broke down. I called for a tow with Dixon towing. They picked it up and told me they had a mechanic at their shop that could fix it. A couple days later I was told it was done and went to pick it up. At this point I discovered it wasnt a mechanic or a shop at all. It was his friend in his driveway and theyd bent up my passenger fender, the front bumper support and put grease stains in my interior. He said he could fix it or he would pay to have it fixed at a local body shop. He tried to fix it and made it worse, all the while telling me I should be ok with it being damaged and that my truck wasnt worth fixing. I took it to his body shop and when I picked it up it still wasnt put back right. The fender still isnt straight, theres things stuck and dried in the paint, bubbles in the paint and places you can see through to the grey primer. I was told thats all I would get and that I have to live with it. I find this unacceptable.

      Business Response

I got a call from Isaiah ******** go out to his property and pick up his ****** truck that broken a ball joint and pulled the axle out of the transfer case.  I got the truck loaded and just trying to be nice I told him that I knew a guy who was a mechanic and he works for himself so he could save him a lot of money.  I never said I was a repair shop!  He agreed so I took the truck to my house and the guy that was going to fix it had me unload it so he could see the damage.  The wheels had locks so I got in touch with ******** and asked him where the tool was and he told me where he thought it was but I couldn't find it.  I asked the mechanic to help me look and when he opened the passenger door that is when  Isaiah  says the damage occurred   I know this mechanic doesn't have the money to buy the parts so I called around the next day to all the shops in town trying to get the best deal and after about an hour and a half I ordered the parts from Schucks.  Because it was dark when the truck unloaded the mechanic never saw that when the truck suspension broke it moved the fender and when the door was opened it pushed in the edge of the fender.  I have seen this many times and I figured I could pull out on the fender to eliminate the problem.  The next morning I borrowed tools and that afternoon I went out to  ********* and pulled out the fender so that the door would open and shut.  Even after doing that  ***************************** complained and started talking about taking me to court so right then I figured the only thing that would satisfy him would be to have a professional fix it.  I told him that I have had great results with Valley Autobody and so I met him the next day at the body shop.  I never saw  ******** or the truck until two weeks ago when he threatened to *** me again.  I thought boy he sure has a lot of nerve threatening me after I had put out $600 to fix a problem that he himself admitted was very small.  At the time he complained about the job I didn't know the whole story about how he had been told to get off the property because the owner of the body shop didn't like being told what to do and that if he hadn't left things would have gotten out of hand real fast!  Two weeks ago I agreed to see what his complaint was so we met at Rays store.I finally found out that he wasn't happy because their was a slight gap between the fender and the black molding that you couldn't see unless you were standing next to the truck.  He also complained that when you ran your hand over the paint you could feel tiny things that the naked eye couldn't see!  ******************** is expecting his truck to look new not taking into consideration the fact that he told me the truck had not been waxed in 11 years!  This customer cannot be pleased.  He was  charged actual cost on the parts with no markup.  I have invested my time and my money and   I feel like he can't be satisfied.

      Ben Dixon is lying.
He bought the parts, did the billing, had the work done at his business by who he called his mechanic (proof sent)  How does that not make him functioning as a shop?
From the second it happened I told him it needed professionally fixed. He came out to try and avoid paying for a professional fix by getting it good enough for him. (Proof sent)
its not that theres a gap between the fender and molding. Its that the fender still is still pushed in almost 1/8 in a 6 area so they dont match up like theyre supposed to. The bottom of the fender is still bent out almost 3/8 and theres a spot where to this day the paint is still not solid. (Proof sent).                                 thats not the end of the bad repair.  these are just things Id have to prove in person as I did to Mr *********************** Theres dozens of objects such as paint chips, tiny hairs holes where theres no pigment, a strip thats rough and feels like the clearcoat was missed and  a 12x2 area that looks wavy when the sun hits it.  If not accepting that makes a person picky call me picky.
