    Recently I brought my dog in for a routine exam. During this exam, a new vaccine was recommended. It was explained that the vaccine would require a booster in approximately two weeks time. Based on that information, I consented to this vaccination. Only after it had been administered did a receptionist inform me that they would be open only a single day during the booster window, rather than their usual 4 days a week. As I have existing obligations on the given weekday which cannot be rescheduled, this unfortunately means I agreed to the vaccination based on inaccurate information.

    While I understand they are having staffing issues limiting their availability on that week, and that this was an innocent error - that they would not be operating their normal days that week was critical information that should have been communicated clearly BEFORE proceeding with the vaccination. Had this been done, we could have then explored alternative options, such as delaying it until their schedule was more free.

    A short delay would still be my preferable solution. However, as disability is my sole source of income, I cannot afford to pay twice for the same vaccine. Accordingly, I am asking for an account credit sufficient to cover another such vaccine once the clinic resumes a normal weekly schedule.

    Additional note: Prior to resorting to BBB involvement, I did attempt to communicate this issue to the business in writing after the incident, without response.
