Profound Exteriors acquired *******, the company that I had originally hired for multi-phase window replacement, and it has now been a few years since that work was completed. I went with them because they were preferred contractors for ******** Windows, out of their Beaverton showroom.I had to personally manage my project due to the lack of professionalism by ****, the sole point of contact. (I never even received any responses from **** at the time.) Despite telling **** numerous times that I needed at least 24 hours notice before work could begin, and that he could not simply show up at my house, he would continue to call me with 1-2 hours warning saying a crew was already on their way or he'd casually drop by himself. This was unacceptable as I work from home, and would then have to decide if I could drop everything to prepare my house for construction with no time to move furniture, lay down flooring protection, etc. by myself.During the last phase of replacement in Spring of 2020, **** showed up unannounced and unmasked, didn't respect my personal space, and told me he wouldn't wear a mask because "he's a rebel." I vowed to never hire them again.Years later, we have now discovered that our basement window framing was heavily rotted at the time the installation work took place. No one informed us: they just did the work and told me everything was fine. The installation is average, with sloppy caulking and trim hastily tacked on. We are now replacing the window framing ourselves and cursing this company every moment we spend on the project. Our house is about 100 years old and this clearly needed to be replaced before the windows were installed, not just coated with caulk so no one could see. Half of the wood is gone, and there's little attachment for the windows with all of the voids and remaining soft pulp. No construction expertise is required to look at this and know it's absolutely unacceptable.
