October 21, 2024 - $1,836 The electricians that were dispatched to assist me were trustworthy and honesty with me. While they advised me to shop around before accepting the quote, my family couldnt afford to not have a working stove that didnt present a fire hazard. With that, i elected to move forward with the services at PDX Top Finishes. My charges totaled over $1500 and I was told the work provided is covered for 48 months. Since the completion of the work, the owner or guy in charge has played nothing but mind games. Really wish Id went with another option on the app rather than the first guy I came across. But once again, dire situation so went with my gut and learned the guy is not always to be trusted. Ive texted the guy several times trying to get a receipt and hes dont nothing but give me the run around in regard to the services he provided. Perhaps Im in the wrong but a quote does not serve as a receipt and the overall business practices are sketch. Really not ideal. Proof of payment is crucial and this guys refuses to provide even though, hes promised on two separate occasions to provide. I even showed ***** while he dealt with family related issues but that doesnt excuse shady business practices. I lost both my grandmothers in past 14 months and if I choose to do my job half a** an auditor, the government would have my by neck. The work performed resulted in a small fire that has since been fixed after finding a trustworthy professional.

Contractor visited my property on 1/31/2023 to assess water damage and claimed the roof was leaking; however, after 2 roof contractors and leak detector also looked they confirmed nothing was leaking. Leak came from cracked tub. Prior to discovering leak I was told that my plumping in crawl space was in need of repair and mold treatment was needed. He said my insurance would not cover because maximum $10k coverage would be used in attic and main floor. He said he would give me cash discount to do plumbing, redo insulation and put in new moisture barrier and only charge me $14k , he accepted $7k and wanted the $7k the next day; however, I stopped the work due to concern from insurance with the inconsistencies. I ended relationship and any further work with PDX Top Finishes on Friday February 10th. He finally gave me an invoice for work done yesterday after asking several times for a receipt he said he sent. The invoice is for over $4,000 and does not line up with any work done or work that was warranted. He told me it wouldnt make sense to me as a homeowner and I needed to talk to my insurance about how water mitigation works. Insurance asked that he send the invoice to them for all the work done but he said he isnt part of the claim for crawlspace. He said he requested me a refund for difference; however, given the circumstances and past complaints, no refund is ever given. I am disputing the invoiced amount and feel he should return my money and compensate me for unnecessary damage he did to my home along with trees that were damaged backing trailer into my driveway. I addressed what I discovered with him not being licensed, bonded or insured according to labor and industries in WA and he said its pending and license will flow over from OR which LNI told me was false. He said he had $1M insurance policy but refused to provide me documentation. He also has a felony background and should not be allowed in peoples homes pretending to be business.
